Morskie Oko is the largest and fourth deepest lake in the Tatra Mountains, with a surface area of 34.93 hectares and a maximum depth of 50.8 meters.
The name "Morskie Oko" literally means "Sea Eye" in Polish, and it is believed to have originated from the lake's blue-green color and the fact that it resembles a large eye.
The lake is fed by several mountain streams and has only one outlet, the Rybi Potok, which eventually flows into the Dunajec River.
In addition to hiking and enjoying the scenic views, visitors can also rent rowboats or pedal boats to explore the lake or have a picnic in the designated areas around the lake.
Morskie Oko and its surrounding area are part of the Tatra National Park, which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland.
Due to its popularity, the lake can get crowded during peak season, so it's recommended to visit early in the morning or during weekdays to avoid crowds.

My friend and I hiked through the Tatras and stopped at Morskie Oko, beautiful place. Although the big cabin/restaurant/shop they built there looks a little out of place! We went during the off season so there were very few people there which was better 😊
