I bought this album a few days ago. The record is green, and It came with a book about each song and how to help your plants depending on how they are looking. It also had a digital download card, and on the back it said it was made out of wild flower seeds, and that you can plant it and they will grow. Cutest shit ever.

It always makes me sad when i hear people refer to electronic music from the 90s as ''Old electronic music'' because it points to the sad fact that in a lot of ways electronic music from the 60s and 70s are just gone from the public consciousness, there are so many people out there who unironically think electronic music was invented in the 80s.

right? electronic music from the 70's and 80's was about utilizing synthesizers to make music in more traditional ways, it put the musicality at the forefront, from the 90's on it was either chopping up a sample and adding a beat or just being repetitive, i miss real electronic music

It would make for some wonderfully awkward holiday conversations. No, I swear Grandpa, the whole album’s to help your plants grow and it’s by the same guy who made that Satanic Black Mass LP. Isn’t that great, Grandpa? Want some more gravy? You know what got Mort Garson a lot of gravy? The LP with the sexy synth sounds and the orgasms. Was that what you were doing in the 1970s, Grandpa? Orgies and such?

Swingin' Spathiphyllums at 19:44 is the best. It has this elevator style, kinda like a futuristic sightseeing tour in a perfect, utopic world full of plants and happiness. This album would also fit very well as the soundtrack to pretty much any 2D sidescroller like Shovelknight, Rogue Legacy, etc.

Back in early 2019, I owned a hamster, his name was Momo. He had very long fluffy fur and was peach-colored.🍑 I was very very dedicated to taking care of him as much as I could. The biggest cage I could build, the best food and water, stuffing, and all the enrichment I could give. Unfortunately, he fell ill due to an eye infection. My dad helped me with the medication and all the very expensive vet appointments. Yet Momo still continued to be sick no matter what I did. After an extremely stressful day of vet appointments and crying, I played this video out loud to help myself and hopefully ease Momo. Momo was in lots of pain due to intestinal bloating and I just wanted this to be easier. Not long after I found that Momo had passed away while I played Plantasia. I associate the song Plantasia with Momo and I would like to believe he passed away in his sleep while he listened. I know it may sound silly to be so worked up due to a rodent but I loved him very very much. Finally, after two years I listened to this again and had my final cry. I can now listen to this and be okay. 🧸💕 Edit 2023: I still cry to the first song but that's okay :)

I've been trying to discover different music lately and I've overlooked how quickly the KZbin algorithm adapts. My homepage has officially turned into a gold mine. It was enough to just like a few albums for my entire homepage to be filled with albums. I'm definitely not complaining lol. Exploring with Spotify is also a great option, but KZbin is definitely better at adapting to what you're looking for and offering you as much as you don't want, whatever you're interested in. When I finish listening to the album, my transformation will be complete and I will start photosynthesizing. My fingers have already started to turn green under the influence of chlorophyll. Plants are living and just like people or animals, react to their environment. A toxic environment leads to ill plants where a healthy nurturing one leads to happy plants. Just ordered this on vinyl and me and my plants cant wait. Oh yea, if anyone here likes metal check out botanist. A one man black metal band with a hammer dulcimer instead of guitars. Mort Garson and Bruce Haack have really garnered my attention with their early electronic music pioneering in recent months. Can't forget Wendy Carlos though. Love revisiting them once in ahwile.

I think a lot of people don't even care about the history of most music and how it came to be. I am a source man and love to follow the breadcrumb trail as far back as I can go. In my mind... WHY WOULDN'T YOU? Mort and Delia are giants! This is perfect for anyone who remotely cares about that journey. What a wonderful album..

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RELEASE. I discovered this album last year and played it very consistently for months and loved Mort's melodies through the whole thing. I was really bummed to find out the original release was going for $200+ and the bootleg print was poor quality, and the answer is your efforts here now! Thank you!

I sometimes listen to this when researching my family tree. It really sets the mood when looking for ancestors in 1500-1800s Europe, studying their home villages, way of life, etc. Even better if you've managed to trace back to early medieval times.
