We have made a bunch of Mortal Kombat 1 guides here on the channel(hey! check them out!) but now lets cover 10 essential gameplay tips for you to know! A mish-mash of various aspects of the game that don't necessarily go in any one guide, have a few basic, and a few advanced concepts to learn about MK1, enjoy!

How you feeling about Reiko roofle. At first I was Shakey but with some comfort I'm quite thoroughly enjoying him been playing Reiko/Jax and reiko/Stryker.
@rooflemonger Жыл бұрын
@@sabastianpummill2446 I think gameplay wise he's fine, just don't like that he was sold as a grappler when hes absolutely anything but.

@@rooflemonger yeah I find he's much more of a rush down character. More like lily than zangief.. I don't think they have a defacto grappler quite yet. Maybe one of the dlc characters will be.

Just a quick tip for anybody who rolls their eyes at learning frame data: If you’re not the kind of person who enjoys learning the math before you play the game- don’t. If studying frame data sounds like the kind of thing you’d rather eat your socks than do, you dont need to RIGHT from the start. What you SHOULD do is play with your heart first and get an idea for what kinds of things you’re struggling with. “Oh, this character is cheap. I don’t know how to handle this.” “This string feels like it’s dominating me.” Get the ground work in first (and the fun part which is the actual KOMBAT!!), and THEN bust out the frame data. I find it helps me get a lot more motivated to learn very specific frame data for characters who are causing me particular amounts of trouble instead of going in with a notebook and taking down notes. Like you get riled up by losing to some “dumb” character so then you get that motivation to study them so you can utterly destroy them next time. I hope this helps anybody who is checking Roofle’s videos out. Maybe an old-head excited for the new MK game but with a lot less time on their hands than they used to have, or a beginner who has aspirations about being the next champion but is being told that frame data is super important and they just can’t seem to find the fun in that. Play the game and have fun first! Then study those specific characters or strings that are giving you headaches.
@leovanilla6833 Жыл бұрын
Or go full monkey mode and keep getting punished by those "cheap moves" until you figure out which of your buttons is able to punish theirs. Should be generally easier to figure out how to punish very minus on block moves. The frame data stuff kinda kicks in when you don't know how to deal with very tight, small block strings. At least that's how I mix in just learning through experience and eventually frame data.

This is one is a truly fantastic Mk game mkx was really good then 11 had a lot bull crap but like krushing blows that kinda ruined the game for me it was a really limiting you to a specific way of play for max potential. Mkx also had variations which I wasn’t a fan of but the game was so good that I didn’t care because if you liked a character but needed to counter pick you chose a counter pick variation of your favorite character. I LOVE THIS ONE love they removed variations and replaced them with kameos it’s more like 10 in terms of variations.

Awhile true think about all the variations in MK11 and then they unlocked them to allow us to create our own. At least with the Kameos once we know what each one does we will know how it acts with all other characters it is backing up. What I do wish was in this game is the ability to pin moves on screen, especially in practice mode, it’s a pain in the ass having to keep going in to the menu.
