Ah, in aspects like this, MK11 was far superior...because it was more "Mortal Kombat-like", with a culmination of a story starting from MK9. This one is totally new, new timeline, "new " characters, so there is a disconnection...or lack of connection, or whatever. Also it was better that they had 3 lines, instead of just 2.
