That was my biggest gripe. Ice ball is historically a huge part of his playstyle and identity. It feels like such a subdued and shell version of what it should be right now. Give him his proper ice ball, fast startup and with freeze, and I say this as a certified sub zero HATER lol.

I generally do find MK1 a fun game, even from launch, and its been pretty clear they're trying to make it better. What alot of ppl forgot, is that they already had cameo cancels in the game be4 goro...nobody used it tho and that was with Sub zero cameo...canceling the ice armor into shoulder...it turned it into an ambush essentially and it took a whole cameo bar...but the refresh rate stayed normal speed...so i can only assume goros cameo will stay the same speed as well

That cameo change was not in the game at launch. They actually added that change in around the peacemaker patch. Also that was the only Kameo to have a cancel like that.

The Kameo system isn’t the problem for me. It’s basically just the variation system with a twist… My problem was that every character was a watered down version of themselves. Hopefully these buffs really is the right direction here.

The last hit of Sub-Zero's 1,2,1 combo should be an overhead launcher , his ice-ball should be able to special-cancel into combo and his ice clone should stay on screen 2 seconds more so that you can throw your opponent on it with an enh. slide and start a combo.

Here’s a little missing info, Nitara’s blood bolt always allowed her to cancel into any of her aerial moves without any meter but you never see it happen because that move is slow. Kung Lao’s meter buzzsaw hat did give you a follow up opening but the window is pretty tight and he has better combo routes that don’t use meter. Either way we have a lot more to look forward to because we have Takeda, Fera, and buffs to explore not to mention more brutals in the future.

The same thing happened in MK 11 where the ai had secret brutality finishers in the game files before being fully released for everyone, not confirmed but it’s very likely going to happen in this game too.

I completely lost my mind trying to get the seasonal tower skins. It's garbage, I don't even have the words man, I swear. I gave up after a fight against a Reiko where no matter how many times I used my overpowered talisman, he just took no damage. Full combos took mostly 100 hp from him and I died just from enviromental damage. After 3 attempts I just gave it up

I really enjoy the gameplay and some of the Kameo stuff. The only gripes I really have are the use of certain Kameos that constantly leave normally punishable moves safe with certain rush down characters or play styles. Some of the character’s wake up options are just bad which makes my first gripe hard to deal with. Also it would be nice to be able to counter pick in Kombat League but I can get over that.

buff ideas, spread the word Scorpion: should be buffed by making his amp ground tp a launcher again and make the cancel built in to both his regular and amp tp. buff the amp hellfire move by removing the damage over time and making it function like how it does in mkx allowing him to combo after hitting it. he needs new strings some mix ups(i personally want his mkx overhead back). some moves need to be sped up

The word of mouth has been terrible since launch, casuals don't want the Kameo system, characters have 3-4 combos routes, there is no creativity in combos. They can do nothing to save this game. As a huge MK fan this is the worst MK of all time and an absolute slap in the face to the MK community, while T8 and SF6 are some of the best games in their series of all time, MK1 is the absolute low point of MK.

I be real, some of these new convos are working already, such as Li Mei because I played with her today, and the strings were longer. Edit: Sub-Zero’s been good with his combos being much longer and that freeze attack also dropping opponents for longer.

i feel like the main problem in mk1 is that every character is very weak, they have to rely on kameos due to the characters have a massive lack of tools. thats why takeda LOOKS insane and im excited to play him since he can actually do much more than all of the cast. hopefully nrs doesnt nerf him into the ground and actually buff characters that need buffs, rather bring up characters than push down characters. and again, add more things for current characters like theyve done before, like scorpion with that new string etc. this game has potential to have a good comeback and i have hope after this kombat kast

No. I predict this is the last update for the characters. They aren’t going to fix the game if ANYONE can’t talk about it or criticize it.

I was apprehensive about the Kameos from day 1 but I have really really warmed up to it. People saying the characters feel watered down, I have to disagree completely. Kameos are just an extension of what your character can already do. Characters already have better strings than MK11. People's gripe started with the micro transactions, and IMO it was for no reason. Why are you crying over a skin for a character you don't use? Why cry over a holiday Fatality pack? I'm glad skins are now 500 Krystals, getting 500 from leveling up characters is so easy, just play the game. I will say the timed towers are a bit lame, I hardly ever play them. Unlike MK11 where you unlock stuff depending on which mesa you select and the difficulty.
