I always defended mk11 when it started to get hate towards the end of its life cycle and I really enjoyed it during its peak… but now seeing it after playing mk1 for so long.. yikes lol. I’ll always defend mk11 for having the best customization in any mk tho

MK11 could’ve been the best , the gameplay was too stiff and they took out all the creativity with combos and everything felt fixed, also the aftermath MK characters should’ve been on the day 1 roster you had to wait until the game was basically dying before you could play as Rain, Meelina, Fujin, Nightwolf, Sheeva, meanwhile guests like Robocop, Joker and Spawn while cool were year 1 they should always do guest last especially if the game only had 2-3 year cycles it’s not Street Fighter where the lifespan is like 6-7 years so waiting for fan favorite characters isn’t as bad if your favorite character isn’t base roster or 1st DLC it’s a bummer, also I do think it’s possible to have too much customization to where the different costumes don’t differentiate enough and just an excuse to pump monetization

Neither cyborg despite their redesigns, Kronika was never playable, the special forces were occupying needless spaces, the two kombat kids no one wanted, a lack of Ermac and Reptile (and Rain until the very end and even then, KP2 characters felt rushed), no Mileena until the very end and it was her most boring iteration ever, forgettable or hated characters like Kollector (who i personally loved gameplay wise but i get the lack of appeal), Dvorah, Skarlet, and Cetrion, i could go on. Seeing MK1’s roster is such a breath of fresh air, although I do mourn Fujin not returning, the best part of 11 by far

Hot take, mk1 scorpion is fun, although trash, I just like playing scorpion in mk1, but definitely agree that mk11 is the most fun scorpion, and mk11 is a top 3 mk game in my opinion, and since I love mkx with all my heart it’s also a top 3 as well, and mkx scorpion is also fun, but I use the worst variation of scorpion(Ninjitsu) because I suck at doing good combos in mkx so I do short and low damaging combos with the ninjitsu variation lol, but I might try and get better with other scorpion variations

MK X Scorpion was the best MK 11 kinda blew MK 1 is interesting for a ranged fighter. MK X Scorpion is fun with his inferno variation, Ninjitsu is fun with his mix ups and overheads and Hell fire is great with his cancels MK 11 is ok but he gets some easy Krushing blows instance his forward 3 4 punish. With his kombos with 212 and damage over time is dangerous. Same goes for his dot throw escape fail. 1 has a very unique fighting style with his kunai and Spear gameplay is different especially as stated he is more ranged than up close fighting gameplay.

I think Scorpion's gameplay in MKX is great. He has the best gameplay for me. He use of his swords and spear in combos is amazing. However, its appearance in X is quite plain (compared to other MK games). I like Scorpion in MK11 to have a samurai + Scorpion mix design. Although the gameplay is not as fun as MKX, it is still good. The samurai atmosphere is on fire. And it was well suited to Scorpion. I like the look of the MK11 Scorpion better than the MKX and MK1. His Fatalities were also very good in MK11. For me, the weakest one is Scorpion MK1. Both its appearance and combos are not satisfactory. Yes, it has a kusarigama (rope sickle) but he doesn't use MK11 Scorpion's katana as effectively as he does in a combo. MK1 Scorpion's death spin move with his rope sickle is nice. Other than that, I don't like it that much. Because his status in X and 11 is a real threat. 🔥🦂

Id say mk9 mk11 and mkx are the goated games in the series. Mk1 is not bad pretty good just not amazing and goated like the others. As a long time mk player mk games have gotten better and better and better for me. But mk1 is where it didnt get better ut was just way too slow paced for me unlike the others and had that injustice style wayy too much too it. Kameos are alright its cool they added something new but variations are better for me. Imo the only mk game thats better than mk11 gameplay wise are mkx and maybe mk9 but mk11 was soo goated i had soo much fun playing it. Everything else in mk11 the graphics. Especially the story best story in the series easily. I think mk11 takes everything over the others. Mk1 had a nice story but a bad aftermath the ending didnt nake sense for noob to kill havik. Like how did havik make noob so powerful at the point noob became more powerful than a titan combined with kamidogu. Thats just havik reaching over his limits it doesnt make sense. Like mkx cassie beating shinnok made sense because green energy defeats gods. But noob defeating titan havik WHILE WEILDING KAMIDOGU ye that was extremely stupid if havik made noob as powerful that wouldve been fine.
