Noob's chapter was a bittersweet moment for me. On one hand, I'm glad that he finally has some wins to his name (as long as you ignore the fact that power scaling is broken beyond belief). On other, he's somehow become even worse character wise than he was as Sub Zero. He received no character development whatsoever and the fact that story ends with Liu Kang literally putting him in timeout is stupendously hilarious. Overall, Khaos Reigns story sucked major Moloch's balls. Easily worst MK story mode so far.

This feels like such a weird DLC story to rank. On one hand, every chapter is able to give some love to characters who badly needed it. Rain goes out like a G saving his empress, Tanya shows everyone why she was chosen by him. Sektor and Noob get some much needed wins and finally moved out of Jobber Town. Cyrax closes her story arc. Heck, even Harumi demonstrates why Kuai Liang married her. This story went by rather quick, with much of the focus on only a few characters, who were given more than the usual amount of fights. But not only does this feel short, it also is the clear loser comparing it to Aftermath. That one managed to put over so many characters with what it did. Nightwolf, Fujin, Shang Tsung, Sheeva, hell Barakka! It had some low points like Sindel being a scheming thot, and Kotal's burial. Maybe it would have helped if we got a few more chapters with characters we haven't showcased in the vanilla game. I think Kitana lacked focus, she could have done more. Especially in the initial attack by Havik. Smoke never even got a chapter, this guy would have been desperate for a chance! Have him join the mission and talk some sense into Scorpion with regards to Cyrax. For a bonus, have Noob talk smack to Scorpion about Smoke not being a real Lin Kuei and how Kuai Liang is soft for siding with him, in case we need a reminding what a prick Bi Han is. Finally, Geras remains criminally underused. And that while we still had room for an encore near the end. Have him do more to Noob than just freeze him in time, and let him finish off Havik and the last of his minions. And resolve the Kamidogu problem as well, for good measure! Because Noob was right, the world isn't safe with Havik left aive. You can have Geras be the one to find the solution, and prove again why we're lucky he's one of the good guys. It's just three characters, but you could gain so much!

Titan Havik's an idiot, not only did he leave his most useful weapon completely unguarded, he successfully pulled an Azazel and gave his pawn the ability to kick his ass. Him turning out to be a hypocrite and a generic tyrant is just the cherry on top of the shit sundae. Liu Kang's actions make no sense either, he objects to killing Havik when he killed (or tried to kill, Titan Shang Tsung has intro dialogues that suggest he survived) Titans Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, did he not care about the timelines then? He also makes the same mistake as Kuai Liang, pointlessly not telling the truth to Sektor about it taking years to cure Bi-Han ensures that Noob gets freed again in the arcade endings. "Heroes" acting like assholes for no reason.

Mortal Kombat has lost its soul. Simply trend chasing. The Kamidogu are simply Infinite Gems when it is buried in Havocs chest it tells you that Nether Realms studios just does not have an Infinite Gauntlet or a Kamidogu Gauntlet. The infinite timelines confirms Titan Mokap Titan Tsu Hao Titan Kobra Titan Meat is out there. The trend they are chasing is the Marvel cinematic universe. Including Iron Man suits instead of cyborg ninjas. Havoc is simply Mogwai from the Gremlins movie series first released in 1980s. If Mogwai ever gets wet he infinitely spawns more of him except evil versions. Gremlins. While they did give Bi Han some wins as Noob Saibot he feels more like a DC villain from Apokalypse world than something from Mortal Kombat. They effectively erased the Undead from the game. Revenants are sinply restored with the soul chamber. This is just another Sweet Baby Inc project.

Wait, why is Noob Saibot’s voice more subtle than his Sub-zero voice? Bro finally got a lozenge after turning corrupted XD It took 3 decades for Noob Saibot to finally get cured! All in all this story was mid as hell and so was the base game. I give it a 2/10 just because I liked the relationship between Emperor Rain and Empress Tanya, also Noob Saibot finally getting cured and kicking ass is a + too. The gender swap is obnoxious, the “chaos realm” isn’t interesting at all cause you’d think there’d be complete anarchy in the streets just like in the coliseum, this Havik just isn’t interesting at all, Lui Kang is such a self righteous twat, Harumi being Married to Kunai Liang is a betrayal to Scorpion’s (Hanzo’s) whole story so I don’t know what the hell they’re gonna do when they eventually add Hanzo to the story!? However I get the feeling Hanzo is gonna be the one who kills Harumi so NRS are just making these games to build a giant middle finger to their fans! Fuck this game and NRS, can’t wait for them to reboot this shit again after the third game if they’re lucky to even get that far.

maybe an unpopulair opinion but i think netherrealm shouldn't have genderswaped cyrax and sektor but were presented with an excelent oportunity to introduce 2 new female cybers. colorswaps have been an mk staple and i would've rather seen that then seeing 2 fan favorites being transformed into this. the characters themselves weren't bad at all and fun to watch. i would've loved seeing 2 new cybers join the future rosters alongside cyrax and sektor and the cyber ninja's also get more colors like our male and female ninja's.

Idk BinHan is in MK13(MK2), if somehow Lui or Sektor depending on the story, they tell him what those arcade endings I would like Bi Han still as Noob but he still human he just rocking black instead of his blue and the chaos magic is purged out of him so he doesn’t have the green anymore. He’s back to the purple as it should be. Similar to the skin Noob had in deception, which was weird, but it makes sense here because he’s still human. He still just has a shadow powers. But now the problem is there’s no subzero which means I have a feeling frost will be subzero now and that’s going to piss a lot of people off in the sequel instead of her being her own character

I keep getting this weird message. I guess my final notes are too long to post or maybe I said something wrong somewhere. I try to keep things pg but idk. But yea to shorten all of what I have to say, this is a terrible story with almost no redeeming qualities. Nothing makes sense, the villain is awful, every character is unlikable and stupid or they’re useless and do not matter. The story is short and nothing happens yet the game wastes time with weird double fights. The dialogue is cringe. The gender swaps are cringe. In the end we don’t even get a proper resolution. We have no idea what happened to the final boss among other questions and even the endings answers nothing. No one has an arc. The only lasting thing is that Bi-Han is now Noob which doesn’t matter because he’s the same guy as he was before. Even if you aren’t overly critical. You just turn your brain off. This story is just boring. But brain on and this thing becomes an absolute mess. What a joke and a waste of time
