If there's one thing Mortal Kombat's known for going all out with, it's violence. If there's one other thing Mortal Kombat's known for going all out with, it's the guest characters. The Mortal Kombat games have had guests from comic books, horror movies, and action movies, so what other guests might we see in MK1's future? I don't know, but I can list a few weirdos who would be great to see.

I think it'd be amazing to see crossovers with other video games, starting with the Doom Slayer. With his arsenal he has endless possibilities for his moveset, and the fact he's pretty much a super hero that's also knowns from comics would fit pretty with the rest of MK1 DLC characters

Big Head/The Mask would be incredible. And if we're talking Big Head from the comics and not his Jim Carrey adaptation, we'd be looking at a seriously violent comic book cartoon. Also, hell yes Alucard would be incredible. Don't know how likely that would be now that COD got him for their Halloween skin event, but would still be an absolute dream.

I know that he had a guest spot in Tekken 7 but Negan sounds like a perfect candidate for a DLC character. I mean the fatalities write themselves with him and Lucile but I was honestly surprised that he was featured in Tekken first. But on that topic of characters, I think DLC Kameos should be a thing too, like a Kameo A-Train or Deep from the boys would be cool as well.

Unfortunately I highly doubt Jim Carrey would reprise the role since he regretted doing Kick Ass 2 for being so violent. Nonetheless The Mask is a good nominee. Just mentioning it, Kick Ass/Hit Girl could be considered but unlikely. Blade or Deadpool from Marvel for me. Guts would be my manga pick.

With how this games story goes with powerful beings and super brutal gore i feel like a warhammer character might fit in, someone like captain Titus from space marines (not to mention warhammer space marines 2 is coming out this year) or if they want to stay with the fantasy feel they could pull a surprise and bring someone like archaon the everchosen (the guy is the ultimate weapon made by the chaos gods in warhammer fantasy) and he has some pretty cool gear so they could do some cool stuff with him

Doomslayer is supposed to be in MK1’s Kombat pack 2, according to leaks. He seems like the biggest outlier for MK2’s (if they’ll call it that) DLC theme to be video games. Which I’d love.

Doomguy and guns are practically inseparable. Doomguy absolutely can fight without guns and melle weapons, but including Doomguy WITHOUT his iconic double barrel and other weapons is lame.

The guns don't have to mechanically be long-ranged projectiles- the double barrel could easily be a down close-ranged move, the plasma gun could be an overhead, the bfg could be a fatality. Plus, he's got the blood punch, chainsaw, meat hook, Crucible Blade, dealer's choice, really.

I would love for them to add Lobo, i know he was a DLC figher in Injustice but id think he fit better in MK. He's a hard fighter, guns, grenades, Giant hook on a chain, Space hawg so many death and gore in his comics, not to mention you can do a Dolphin Fatality, who doesn't want a Dolphin fatality. Either way i loved him in injustice but i do think Mortal Kombat 1 would do him more Justice.

From horror movies I'd like to see Pinhead from Hellraiser - he could utilize the other Cenobites in his moves and fatalities. Pennywise, could transform into the giant spider and/or use the deadlights in his fatalities. The Punisher and Deadpool would also be great fits in MK. From Mangas I could see Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, Alita from Battle Angel Alita From other video games I could see M. Bison and Akuma from Street Fighter, Bryan Fury from Tekken, Doomguy

One of my biggest characters I hope to be in MK1 is Lobo. He fits with the theme of deadly comic books characters AND would be easy to get since he’s owned by WB and was already in Injustice. I also would really like his intro dialogues. Besides… You know they can’t resist guests with guns!

I think another Ninja Turtles character that would be perfect as a Mortal Kombat character would be the Last Ronin, especially with that video game coming out soon. Other violent comic book characters I think would work well would be Judge Dredd, Sara Pezzini, the Crow, Kick Ass, and Flashpoint Batman. Also, Alucard in Mortal Kombat doesn’t seem quite so far-fetched considering that he’s going to appear in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Your analysis on the theming of these guest character packs got me thinking of what other possible mediums they could do a phase of representation for next. I got to thinking of several mediums/genres and what characters would best fit as well as which one might "bridge the gap" in a possible MK1 inclusion. If you're interested, I'll list the mediums I think could be next as well as their characters in order of which medium the MK fanbase is likely to be most interested in and all of which already have a character rumored to be in MK1 by now (Violent Video Games, Violent Television, and Violent Books). VIOLENT GAMES: I think it's quite possible for MK to start getting more characters from gaming, but they'd probably steer clear of competing fighting games. Doom Slayer (DOOM) - He's already rumored to be in MK1 later down the line anyways and he's a natural fit. He kinda fits in with the others already here because he is a costumed "hero" with a codename and is brutally violent. The best introduction to gaming characters that don't have to be console exclusive *cough* Kratos *cough*. Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) - Resident Evil is a big horror/action gaming franchise with a lot of potential characters to pick from. Nemesis might be somebody else's pick, but I have to go with the man who proved to be the main antagonist for so long. The sunglasses throwing, trench coat wearing, global saturating mastermind of undead and biological evil, Albert Wesker. He's got the violence, the interaction and dialogue potential, and the gross monster-i-ness... and a gun. Dante/Bayonetta (Devil May Cry/Bayonetta) - I put them together here because they are pretty similar and either one could fill the slot. They are representatives of the hack'n'slash genre of action games with a wide variety of powers and weapons. Both are quite violent and based in the supernatural and have witty personalities. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) - The femme fatale of gaming. She might be a weird choice at first, but have you seen how violent the modern games are? She's got plenty of options for battle with guns, pickaxes, flares, etc. Her world also already delves into supernatural events and she fought a dinosaur, so she wouldn't be too out of place. She could also potentially bridge a gap into another phase for guests, the violent adventure genre. VIOLENT TV: This gap has already ALMOST been bridged by the 3 characters we already have, but those are comic book characters adapted to TV. I'm talking about TV itself. Buffy (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - She's been teased by Ed Boon for a while. She's also rumored to be in MK1 eventually. She would best bridge the gap here because while the others are comic book characters that have had successful TV shows, Buffy is a TV character that has had a successful comic book series. She's a natural fit for MK, being a monster slaying action heroine with a witty sense of humor and would probably want to kill Nitara the most. Walter White (Breaking Bad) - I know it's odd, especially because he's more of a thinker than a fighter. He could work though as he does occasionally fight, he has exploding meth that he uses like grenades, and I just think it would be hilarious. Negan (The Walking Dead) - Could actually be used as a "gap bridger" instead of Buffy as TWD started as a comic, but is more recognizable as a show. Just get JDM to reprise his role, look at Tekken 7 for reference, and he basically sells himself. Demogorgon (Stranger Things) - A lot of people have wanted this one. It is a vicious and bloodthirsty monster that cannot be bargained with. I feel it would be kinda similar to the Xenomorph, but with a teleport. VIOLENT BOOKS: The least likely medium to get the gamer audience excited, but the one with the most untapped potential. Conan (Conan the Barbarian) - Already a much wanted character and rumored to be in MK1. Though he's most popular as a comic book character and for his movies, he started out as a book character. His comic book status would also help him fit in with MK1 and its comic guest characters. He sells himself. Do I need to explain how he fits in? James Bond (007) - Like Conan, he is most famous as a movie hero, but started in novels. Bond from the novels is also much different from how he's portrayed in the movies. He is much more dark, violent, and possibly a legit psychopath. His vast array of gadgets would also help fill out his moveset. Throw in Daniel Craig's likeness and you have yourself a fitting guest character. Tarzan (Tarzan) - DON'T LET THE DISNEY MOVIE FOOL YOU! Tarzan is a brutal warrior who lives by the rule of the Jungle. Disney did not make Tarzan, they only own their particular adaptation, and they had to really tame him to make him family friendly. Book Tarzan is a whole beast of a man. He's also a name people recognize. He could swing on vines and use clubs or shanks, but I think his "wild man" method of fighting would make his gameplay interesting. John Carter (Princess of Mars) - Again, don't let the Disney movie fool you. In the books, he's basically Conan in space. That said, I don't really see much of a reason to have both him AND Conan due to their similarities, but they did use both Homelander AND Omni-Man. Alan Quatermain (Alan Quatermain) - If you don't know, this guy was basically Indiana Jones before Indiana Jones existed. Being the main inspiration for Indie, he's pretty similar in character and ability. That said, he was NOT made for an all ages audience like his Hollywood counterpart. He is much more nihilistic, ready to kill, and ready to die, but not without a fight. Like Lara Croft, he also serves as a gateway into a phase of more "adventure genre" guest characters.

I was surprised Shredder wasn't in MK11, especially since turtles were guest characters in Injustice 2. I would want him, Doomguy and the Mask the most to be among other guest characters. I think they could look at anime/manga characters for ideas for future guest characters. Plenty of violent characters to choose from there. The only action movie character I thought they were missing in mk11 was Snake Plissken, they got everyone else, might as well had him too. Sadly it never happened and I understand the character would be another boring pew pew guy.

Not gonna lie, I'd be 100% down for all of these picks for MK1! If I had to choose guest characters I would like to see in MK1, going off the comic book theme, I'd have to say my choices are: 1. TMNT: The Last Ronin Michelangelo (In the same vein that I feel like Shredder would be cool to see in MK1, I feel like this pick would be good for them to promote the Last Ronin game that's coming soon) 2. Eobard Thawne (Reverse Flash) (Just like how we got Joker in both MK11 and Injustice 2, I feel like Thawne deserves some time in the sun as more than a premium alt for Flash. Not to mention the potential of getting Tom Cavanaugh or Matt Letscher's likeness would be cool (Say what you will about the CW Flash, but I honestly liked Thawne in the show)) 3. Deadpool (If I had to choose a Marvel rep that could fit, or at the very least have some interesting interactions with characters, it would be Deadpool (Other options I had in mind were Bucky Barnes and maybe Dr. Doom, but again Deadpool just feels like a better fit.) 4. Goku Black (Honestly a perfect choice for a wildcard pick in my opinion. A Divine, Genocidal, Body-snatching maniac in a world that he would most definitely be disgusted by the same way he was with Goku and Vegeta having divine power in Super would be perfect not only for his interactions, but also his moveset potential. The only fear I have with this pick is how he'll look in the MK style (But to be fair, nothing could be as bad as how normal Goku looks in Fortnite compared to Goku Black). Would allow for a non-western media theme for MK13 collabs.) 5. Dante, Vergil, or Nero from the Devil May Cry series. (Another Wildcard pick that would be interesting to see both in gameplay and interactions. And let's be honest, I would be cool to see a Judgement Cut fatality from Vergil. Wonder if heavy metal mascots could have a shot at Mortal Kombat. Myself, I'd like to think they got a pretty good aesthetic to them, and I think it'd be interesting to see Ed Boon working with those bands to figure out how they'd be characterized in a Mortal Kombat game. Part of me also sees that as an excuse to have Papa Emeritus IV from Ghost be a fighter in the franchise, though I think other mascots could be brought to life such as Alestorm's Captain Morgan, Hammerfall's Hector, and/or Lordi's erm... Mr. Lordi. I think the most likely course of action would be that the mascots would be voiced by their band's vocalist.

A guest character I really want to see is BJ Blazkowicz from the Wolfenstein franchise. BJ would definitely the MK like a glove (moreso than Doomslayer but that's my opinion) and if you played the New Wolfenstein games (minus Youngblood) then you for damn sure that you would agree. Personally I think Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star makes way more sense for a manga rep. Mortal Kombat is a series with the major themes of Martial Arts and excessively brutal gore. All done in a relatively realistic art style. Fist of the North Star is also a series with major themes of Martial Arts and excessively brutal gore. With an art style that leans more closely to realism when compared to most other Manga series. Plus C’mon Kenshiro practically gift wraps them the fatality he’d have. In terms of guest characters, A wild card pick for me that I had though of was Bill from Gravity Falls, even if there are a couple of issues with him getting in, 1. Will alex hirsh allow him in (Most likely yes, but depends), 2. the liscensing, will disney allow him to be in a violent game like MK (Most Likely not, but may be possible on the lower end), and 3. bill himself, because he doesn't have the anatomy as most fighters in Mk (Who are at least human-like) How can we adapt him into the game (Use the fan interpretation and give him a human form or something different?) even then, he could be similar to the mask in terms of abilities, besides the toon force or things unique to the mask. He could summon the weirdness bubbles for stage control, summon an eye bat that could petrify opponents, maybe even include levitating similar to sindels in MK1, and he could have some disturbing fatalities, like turning his opponent inside out, Rip their soul out as he possesses their body, or you could have him incinerate his opponent if your boring. And since according to the lore Bill has, what if bill was sent to the MK universe because of the deal he made with the Cosmic Axolotl after the events of gravity falls? Bill is an Incredible villain and him being in MK would lead to a Massive hole for cartoon villains as malevolent as bill

This is kind of a wild one, but I really want Kratos from the Norse games and Doomguy to both be in the game.
