While I agree, I also definitely hope they bring in some new original characters and some of the older characters from games like Deadly Alliance and Deception. I really don't want them to go basically the exact same route as the original or the remakes and recycle the same characters again, bringing in revenants and clones and different timelines and shit like that. The storylines already convoluted as fuck.

I'm 43 now but you take me back to riding on the bus in the morning rocking out the black and white GameBoy. Lol and we'd hit lunch swapping notes on how to do certain moves and fatalities cuz there was no internet and not everyone bought the magazines to find them out. Crazy how things change and crazier that this series is still going and looks better than ever. Gaming Veteran Forever!

I think the fatalities are going to be extra messed up because back then, heads would just combust and it would just be blood. Now, you'll get to see all the skull fragments, pieces of brain, eyes, etc. I fear Mileena's fatalities in particular 💀

Honestly, when they we're talking about Liu Kang's fatality on Shang Tsung in the trailer, Liu didn't technically punch him in half so to speak, more so drive the palm of his hand straight down through the top of Shang Tsung's skull/head, cleaving him cleanly in half.
