Mortal Kombat 1 - PC port stuttering, terrible CPU optimization? Denuvo?

Tested on an Acer Nitro 5, i5 9300h, gtx 1650, 16gb RAM, installed on a NVMe SSD.

It’s so pitiful how they managed to ruin the pc port launch 2 years in a row. They need to drop like a 30 gigabyte patch to fix all the pc problems.

It’s been a lot longer than 2 years, they’ve been using the same company to outsource for literally ever. It’s been like this since mk9, now why do they keep using this same shit company to port the game instead of doing it in house, who knows

This is terrible, I sent a request for a refund for this piece of crap. I have a far from weak PC, 4070ti on which RDR2 on ultra in 4K gives more than 80 fps, but in this game there are eternal lags and stutters, sharp drops in frames. Fuck this

It seems to be e-core related, specific to Intel 12th/13th gen processors. Disabling e-cores either through BIOS or software like process tree fixed most of the stuffer for me, but not all, and its such a heavy handed solution. Hope they fix it soon. They've had a ticket since 9/16 and it still isn't fixed :(

@@tweetttt7670 A few ways. I use a free program called "process lasso" where you can launch the game, then select the MK process and set it to only use physical cores, omitting e-cores. Want to make sure its set to always be on. Program has to be running for it to work. Its sad we have to do this as the issue still hasn't been fixed yet on PC :(

Not to mention the ugly film grain the game has on pc, and the games overall graphics looks worse on pc for some reason. How does that even make sense?

@@adamarioua6435 you can go into the files, and turn the post processing from 3 to zero. That fixes it.
