Think this one works better for this version of the character Previous Quan Chi was already strong and full of knowledge on Dark Magic, he was pretty much the big man in the Netherrealm, his voice was confident, deep and commanding This Quan Chi is on the road to get there

Villians seems to be getting ready to return to their old ways. - General Shao: Releasing Onaga to overpower Mileena, and gathering followers to take over the throne; - Shang Tsung: Studying on his island and feeding on souls. Soon to launch a tournament; - Quan Chi: Studying on his fortress on the Netherrealm, to acquire more power. It seems everything Is slowly taking shape of the old timelines, with small diferences. Wonder if Kuai Liang will turn into Noob and go back to be paired up with Smoke

I think that's literally the point here, all of this studf that liu kang tried to change just ends up happening again, you can see how frustrated he is when KENSHI returns blind, I think in the next game or in this DLC maybe liu kang is gonna snap and be in rage talkin about how he failed to change things and bow history just keeps repeating itself

Im thinking in this new timeline, Quan Chi will rise to become Lord of Netherrealm and eventually comes across a young demon known as Shinnok. Having heard of tales of the previous one, Quan Chi would have this one under his tutelage as his underling and apprentice while keeping watch to make sure he doesnt remember the potential chaos he once could master.

@@blastedmasonry That was from Titan Shang Tsung's Timeline, not Liu Kang's. Shinnok is stated to be powerless in this timeline, as Liu Kang designed. Shao only got that amulet from Titan Shang Tsung to try and take Outworld's throne.

Skarlet fans seething rn Although, I wonder if this foreshadows her origin in this timeline. In MK9 she was Quan Chi's creation whereas in 11 she was an orphan trained in blood magic by Shao. If she returns then likely she'll be back portraying both backstories, having been killed but raised from death by Quan Chi.

Hell he doesn't even try to track down Shang Tsung even though the game shows they're basically best buds or allies atleast.
