Honestly I’m not even gonna lie. MK1 was a game that I was so HYPED for. I got it back in February of 2024. It was the sole reason why I upgraded to an Xbox Series X, behind that and Tekken 8. I used to play MK1 FOR HOURS and now fast forward to June, I no longer play it as much as I used to. No joke, I moved on to Street Fighter 6 and I cannot even lie here. SF6 has something that MK1 doesn’t, I don’t know what it is though

I think if the game came out with a 1v1 and 2v2 tag option, no kameos, just fleshed out characters, the game would be better received. It feels better to have all combo starters and extenders within your own characters tool kit rather than picking a kameo who you may not like for any other reason than their “function”. A lot of these kameo characters coulda made for nice roster additions as fully fleshed out characters. At the end of the day I suspect this game is another story of behind the scenes dysfunction, interference, changes in direction and pressure to meet deadlines for shareholders being more important than having a complete game. Too much evidence that it was released before it was ready and I feel like the blame should be aimed at Warner bros more than Netherrealm other than character balance issues which is definitely a developer issue

Takeda was my favourite back in MKX too and he's literally the only reason why I recently redownloaded the game, even though I have the others as well. I may just start playing MK11 again.

You keep saying MK1 can't be saved but be saved from what? The game is consistently in the top 10 best selling games of each month and the console playerbase is high, hell even the Hardcore FGC playerbase are praising MK1 now Also in terms of Evo numbers, you'll criticise MK1 for having low numbers but not KOF15 for having the LOWEST?

Bruh, MK1 was one away from being the lowest. KOF15 isn't the topic of this video 😂 And MK isn't selling much at all. I challenge you to provide proof of that statement, because I've seen other records that show otherwise, Plus, it shouldn't be hard to sell your "triple a" game, when every month, it goes on sale

Bringing up KOF just seems like cope. You can say mortal kombat is in the "top 10 most selling games" but where is everybody? In the fighting game ring it's not even in discussion, being surpassed by far more niche games, or games several years older than it? If mk barely made it to Evo and was extremely boring to watch don't be surprised when it's kicked next year. This isn't even mentioning how bad tekken and street fighter are stomping the game. On steam mk11 consistently has 500 more players. Let's not act like mk1 is in some great position when it's struggling barely a year in it's life to maintain relevance
