Takeda had a relationship with Jax’s daughter Jacqui in the previous timeline. And they were about to be engaged (as mentioned time again in MK 11). That is until Kronika came in, and history has been rewritten. It sucks that we never get a chance to have a wedding ceremony in the Shirai Ryu way. I hoped NRS can somehow bring her back as a DLC character. Takeda x Jacqui is my favorite Mortal Kombat pair besides Liu Kang and Kitana.

I'm gonna be honest, I like that he's still basically MKX Takeda, but I loved the idea that he was the cousin Kenshi, hunting him down for the Yakuza clan and is evil this time around.
