Kelly Hu is absolutely perfect as Li Mei. She previously played D’Vorah in the last 2 games, but she is shining far brighter as Li Mei. And the character herself is now one of my favorites, she has such a strong moral compass and no matter what others think of her she has undying loyalty to Sindel and the royal family.

Kelly Hu is proof that a good actress can be a good voice actress. The problem with Megan Fox being Nitara is that she's not a very good actress to start with. While actress like Kelly Hu in Mortal Kombat, and Yvonne Strahovski, Tricia Helfer, & Seth Green in Mass Effect are good actors and therefore kill it in their voice acting work.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your after watch breakdowns as new viewers. Having been playing since 1992 and the first thing I loved was that there was a story and it was all connected and then connected from game to game to game is what got me hooked on Mortal Kombat. I love these kharacters SO much and this story mode just shows again that Netherrealm is very much paying attention to DETAILS and getting the roster elevated to more than just fighters. I could listen to you guys discuss MK for an hour! So glad you're having fun!

It makes sense that Liu Kang altered their circumstance but left who they were intact. He didn't tamper with their souls or essential being. Bi-Han remains power-hungry and egomaniacal. Shang Tsung will always be a deadly charismatic shyster, and Shao will always disguise his lust for power behind service to his world. I love that we got to see more of Zyloth, Tomas, and Baraka.

The Scorpion in this game is the sub zero from MK11, that’s why they have the same scar on their face, also the sub zero in this game is Noob Saibot from MK11 that might be why he turned back to his old way in terms of going against Earthrealm.

If you remember from the previous games there were two sub zeros. The younger one is now Scorpion in this game while the older one remains the same. The older brother is the one who becomes noob saibot in the old games while the younger brother becomes the grandmaster subzero in mk X and 11.

Kuai Liang always has the scar In all the MKs the second Sub Zero (one with the scar) was Kuai Liang. Liu just made it in this timeline that Kuai Liang is Scorpion not the second Sub Zero. Kuai Liang and Bi Han are still brothers that have a disagreement over the future of the Lin Kuei though. That much didn't change

The developers decided to change the terms in MK11 when introducing both Cetrion The Elder God and Kronika. So, they decided to call ordinary Gods like Raiden and Liu Kang demigods and Elder Gods just Gods and Titans. The One Being was introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception. i'm not sure if you guys noticed or not because you haven't mentioned it yet and you seemed to say "oh he's got he scar now?" when Scorpion (Kwai Liang) got cut across the eye by Sub-Zero (Bi-Han), but in this timeline, the original Scorpion (Hanzo) isn't around yet and Kwai Liang was always the younger brother of Bi-Han in both timelines but in this one Kwai Liang is Scorpion instead of Tundra (and later Sub-Zero when Bi-Han dies and turns into Noob Saibot) and Tundra/Sub-Zero/Kwai-Liang was the one who had the scar over his eye, so even though in this new time-line he may be Scorpion but he's still the person who is supposed to get the scar. edit: i paused and posted this around 18 minutes in and a minute later you say that you figured out everything i just said! lol

For some reason this got cut out. Scorpion defeated Rain and then Havik came with Darrius and attacked Scorpion. They got him and tried to bury his face in the lava-like, melting gold. There comes a Test-Your-Might sequence where you fight yourself free. Then Scorpion knocks out Darrius and buries Havik's face into the lava. This results into Havik losing his face and looking more like his zombie self in the previous timeline. PS.: Basically you missed nothing important since Havik is just a side character in this and you probably didn't know him anyway.

In the Og timeline Bi-han was the OG Subzero who was killed by scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi) and the becomes Nobb Saibot, Kuai Liang becomes the next Sub-Sero or so he claims the name, where he has the scar but was never mentioned where he got it from and is the Subzero we all know. In this time line Bi-han is still Subzero and Kuai Liang is now Scorpion and what became of Hanzo who was Scorpion who know, though there are rumors he's Takeda now, oh and Bi Han was always an ass and prejudiced against women Lin kuei we just never saw much of it.

The original Scorpion is Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu clan- sorry, klan. This scorpion is Kuai Liang the brother of Bi Haan the original sub-zero. In MK 9 Bi Haan is killed by Hanzo as Scorpion because Scorpion believes that Bi Haan killed his klan and family. This is proved to be untrue in a later game. Kuai Liang learning about the murder of his brother takes on the mantle of Sub Zero himself to find out what happened to him and ends up confronting Scorpion. Meanwhile Bi Haan is turned into Noob Saibot via some Netherealm mysticism that I forget. This game turns a lot of that on its head and doesn't even address it, but I'm hoping for some resolutions in the upcoming Sequels.

Bi-Han is the first and original Sub-Zero, Kuai Lang is the 2nd Sub-Zero and the one we know of the most, hes the one whos been Sub-Zero the past 4/5 games. Bi-Han become Noob-Saibot. Hanzo Hasashi is the Scorpion we know.

From the MK9 to the MK11 timeline, Bi-Han(the eldest) was once a Sub Zero. When he died at MK9, he would then be reincarnate back into a character known as Noob Saibot by Quan Chi. At the same time, Bi-Han's younger brother, Kuai Liang, would be the next Sub Zero. On the other hand, Hanzo Hasashi is a character that represents the infamous Scorpion on the MK9 to MK11 timeline. For Scorpion, his original storyline would come from a clan of Shirai Ryu whereas both Sub Zeros are in a clan of Lin Kuei. In the MK1 timeline, they totally changed everything for the Shirai Ryu-Lin Kuei history with the exception that Bi-Han is still Sub Zero. Scorpion would now be Kuai Liang, Bi-Han is still Sub Zero, and the Noob Saibot character, Hanzo Hasashi along with the Shirai Ryu clan were never existed in this timeline. As in your reaction on today's video, you would notice a slightly hint that Scorpion(Kuai Liang) would want to start a new clan(which was mentioned towards the end of the game) since the betrayal of Sub Zero(Bi-Han) since Sektor and Cyrax are loyal to the Grandmaster himself. And I think that's how they would establish the rise of Shirai Ryu back into this New Era Timeline. As of the character Noob Saibot, anything could happen. They can establish a new name within it or use an existing name in Mortal Kombat history and embody it to the character of Noob Saibot. But all of this will remain to be waited and seen in this next installment of the franchise.

For the record, what I'm about to say will not spoil anything important in the storymode you are watching. While Hanzo Hasashi, the original Scorpion from previous timelines, has been sidelined in this game for the Bi-Han/Kuai Liang rivalry, it has been confirmed that, at the least, he still exists in the new era and, along with a couple others revealed in cutscenes found when you win the towers mode with each character, will most likely be playable in the next game. You just won't find any reference to him this storyline as it's not important enough to what happens in it.
