I wonder if these bosses have any fatalities assigned to their character data. I mean, they don't, but since they can be played as, means they're programmed as a character, and every character has fatalities. I wonder what would happen if you could execute them?

With rom hack I tested only Goro has a fatality he has one

Apparently they don't have any fatality data, except Shang Tsung (unless he's unmorphed) since his ability to morph into other fighters allows him to use their finishing moves, and it works normally (except if he doesn't unmorph he will announce the fighter's name as victorious).

@RetroGuy216 If you don't read Portuguese, to change between movesets with Reptile, either press L or hold select and press kick or punch. Shang Tsung-Dodging: forward, throw fireball: back, down or up. Morphs: Johnny Cage: high kick, Kano: high punch, Rayden: low kick, Liu Kang: low punch, Scorpion: high kick while holding select, Sub-Zero: high punch while holding select, Sonya: low kick while holding select, Goro: low punch while holding select, press L when morphed into someone else to be Shang Tsung again; Goro-grab and pound: high punch next to the enemy, fireball: low punch, leaping stomp: up, taunt: down or back, throw: low punch next to the enemy. To play as Shang Tsung hold select wile selecting Liu Kang. To play as Goro, select Johnny Cage while holding down select. To play as Reptile, hold select while selecting Sub-Zero.

I used to do this,on game genie,bsck in the day! Pick always fight goro,always fight reptile,or always fight Shang tsung..then click in with player 2. Player 2 will start as that guy,beat player one,and that guy will go on to play the game!

I always hated how you never get to legit play with the boss characters, why didn't the developers just add them to be playable once you finish the game or with a secret code why the fuck make it impossible, it also applies to other fighting games, you paid for the game so why block the characters

If you thought you were going to find the reptile code you are wrong because reptile is not available by fusing a couple of buttons.

Nice try on the SNES version, but the only true port of MK1 you can play as goro on is the gameboy. But this is good nonetheless

@@wwerner1130 just a regular SNES game with game genie however, you can't control these bosses like normal characters or else the game will crash if I remember correctly, you can only move Goro forward, and when you press forward + down with him, he will block, then you can press an attack button and it will work with shang tsung, i believe you can only move him forward as well (he'll move away when you press forward) but i do not remember what button you can press with him without crashing the game
