It’s so funny that Commando Spawn doesn’t come with any guns. McFarlane’s direct sale weapons pack was a stroke of genius on his end. I can’t wait to get mine in the mail and load up my Commando Spawn with all the guns!

He does not come with Guns because Mortal Kombat is owned by Warner Bros., so I assume the MK figures would be under the same gun ban as the DC Multiverse. Also, the Kickstarter gun is the same one I had on my quick TikTok yesterday!! it's a great look on this guy and yes I agree he is one of the best MK Spawn Releases. Good Video as always!

This Comando SPAWN is probably one of my favorite SPAWN figures cuz its different... I like that they added the tactical suit instead of his signature Necroplasm armor... Fun design! Definitely should of came with guns instead of Necroplasm flames...

My theory as to why he doesn't have guns is that Mortal Kombat is owned by Warner Bros. and they have a no-gun policy for their toys. That's why the DC figures are also strapless. I know it's weird because it's Spawn, but it's technically part of the Mortal Kombat line. Todd's hands are completely tied here.

Yup, the best MK version for me, I think it will be my definitive Spawn. The original MK sculpt had some issues, but this one is a lot cleaner.

I understand this MK11 line doesn't give you a lot of accessories but getting those effects and not a gun is sort of absurd, thanks for bringing it up so much. I really do like his red tone and the face to be half covered like that.

I've been a Spawn fan since I was was a kid over, 30 years ago. I still have some of the original figures from back in the days and when I heard that this version was being made, i was genuinely excited. However I have to say its not one of the best spawn made... Its way out of proportion his upper body and arms are way too big compared to his legs. Again I'm not very happy with this spawn... The other older commando spawn were League better than this version. The reason this spawn didn't come with guns is because Mortal Kombat belongs to Warner Brothers WB and they don't permit their figures to have guns it had nothing to do with Todd Mcfarlane being cheap nor forcing us to buy his weapons pack😁Great job on this unboxing video 👍

I like this. I think I will get him...well, I mean I just bought the munitions set and the two giant futuristic guns in that set are perfect for this figure so yeah, lol. In my list, i think the MK11 standard Spawn is still on top, then Commando and then Malefic. I like Malefic but he needed a paint wash to darken that red to match the MK11 figure since I gave the sword to Malefic to make him a sort of Medieval Spawn, lol.

The thing about their joints sculpt is, it seems like they put on the articulation after sculpting process. It's more like afterthought. Wish that they will redo all of that so that we could get functional and good looking joints in the future

this is the main skin I use on Spawn in the game. Nice to have it in figure form. that said, I'm not a huge fan of the bandanna on the face personally. It's like wearing a mask over a mask lol.

Most McFarlane figures are light on accessories. I believe it is Todd cutting corners to keep his figures at a $20 price-point. Less accessories means less plastic that has to be used. Todd is giving the figures the necessary bare-minimum.

That's correct. They have a mandate that NO action figures based on properties they own are to come with any gun accessories. That includes non-realistic, sci-fi looking guns.

"I know it’s the game". There it is. That's your answer. Commando Spawn DOES have a cape in the game. Since it's a customizable gear piece, what the cape looks like all depends on the player. But there is no option to remove it. He will always have one in MK11. The figure is just representing the design in the game. You're going to fault Todd for accuracy...?
