So there is something important I forgot regarding teaching throws. Mortal Kombat throw mechanic is very unique, because there are different scenarios such as a BACK or FRONT throwing grabs. Depending on which one your opponent does, you will have to respond with these buttons. If your opponent is performing a BACK THROW, you will have to press 1 or 3 to tech it. If your opponent is performing a FRONT THROW, you will have to press 2 or 4 to tech it. Aha this is what I get for rushing this video, forgot to mention something important.

Failed escape isn't the cause of mistiming in fact it only happens when you get the timing right but use the wrong escape method. For forward throw use 2/4 or Y/B, backward 1/3 or X/A. If you do backward escape with forward throw failed escape happens

yeah reading the opponent, Look, The second an animation plays its to late wirh blocking, I would need across world mind reading to do thst and it doesnt even exist. as a reaction time to visual queues to attacks you would need to react withing 0.10 seconds, Thats a reaction time wuicker than in the human ability. The standard human has a reaction time from 0.23 to 0.25 whilst gamers like me sit at about 0.19 to 0.22. And pro gamers reported to react within 0.15 seconds wich I doubt is possible by humans. the mk games therefore literally require super human reaction time. so in conclusion how to react to an attack by blocking: Know all the characters attacks and combos. Predetermine the attack and block. For a guy with menorization issues this is an unfair task to learn because I cant learn it. even if i can it would take me years. And this memorizing is not even taking memorizing combos into play. Im fine with learning for a few weeks to be able to block and memorize 1 characters full moveset but im not fine with as a new player having to learn 37 individual characters to even start enjoying the game Okay lets put it this way: to fully learn 1 charscters moveset it would probably take me 1 month. so to learn all characters full movesets would take me 37 months, so it would take me about 3 years to learn all characters if i was to learm q character per month and I would say thats me beeing quick... Dont you guys think thats an insane task to do for a beginner? Basic combos are no problem with any character everything padt that needs indepth learning and the learning curve in mk11 doesmt stsrt at 0, The wanted skill level for a beginemr in mk11 is way high up at the top half of the graph.
@macparnami2 жыл бұрын
The way NRS have implemented Block stun in MK is just dumbest implementation ever. Which holds back this great game to be one of the best. MK has so much going for it but the block stun is a let down . Let me explain , In most current fighting game , If an opponent block my attack which is punishable , They can simple input the necessary punish normals, the game buffers their input such that it comes out 1st frame after the character recover from block, But in MK 11 the player has to manual time the punish which is dumbest thing ever, If someone uses an unsafe mix up punish should be guaranteed. Not dependent on factors like ping fps which can mess up my input window. What we see online is Players abusing unsafe string over and over and over because you really can punish them frame perfect because its not possible online. This is really bad for a defensive or beginner player because they will never get any chance to punish or benefit from knowing a match up. All character which have overwhelming or barely punishable moves with -12f or less they can simple abuse the strings and thats all. This is a dumb mechanic
