The stars of 2021's Mortal Kombat movie try to tell the difference between a real Mortal Kombat game character and one we just made up in this game of Real or Fake?
There have been so many Mortal Kombat games that we decided to put Joe Taslim (Bi-Han/Sub-Zero), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang) and more stars from 2021's Mortal Kombat movie to the test by presenting a series of characters and short descriptions tied to real MK characters and some that we just made up, including Reptile, Baraka, and Floragore - can they tell the difference?

There is a video where they watch people playing as their characters. Joe actually knows that sub-zero (kuia liang) in that particular game isn't the sub zero he plays(Bi-han). Instead he's "like get him bro!" and "I taught him that". Its really cool that he knows the lore and gets really into it.

A demon doesn’t necessarily have to be a being stemming from hell/the netherrealm. Another definition of the word is “a cruel, evil, or destructive person or thing.” I think that definition is definitely an apt description of Baraka, though I am probably just reaching and he most likely meant the other demon. And as people are pointing out, Tarkatans are half-demons, so the description isn’t entirely inaccurate.

No matter what many thought of this movie, it can't be denied that Joe Taslim was perfect as Sub Zero, and he's also a legit MK fan. I hope that a sequel will get made, only so that he can return as either Sub Zero (maybe revived by Shang Tsung) or Noob Saibot. And yeah, let's hope that they'll improve the writing BY A LOT.

Okay, it's official. I love this cast! They're all good sports and seemed to have loads of fun with this. Especially Josh Lawson, who would've thought Kano of all people would be so enthusiastic and creative! By the way I think he played the more comic relief version of Kano masterfully! And their personalities and chemistry with each other are great. I think we as a community should keep an eye on these guys.

I really don't even think its his fault, I personally didn't care for his character. My frustration came from spending so much time developing him and not the other characters. I think for a lot of people this is a defining factor. Basically weather you liked cole or not would define if you liked the movie. If you liked him the movie was great, if you didn't, you feel like the characters you did care about didn't get any screen time or development or were killed off very quickly.

I'm a MK mega fan, so I'm well aware of how they bring along a new character in their Konquest modes back in Deception and Armageddon. We had Shujinko and Taven as new characters that drove the story of the game! So when I think of this fact, I try to tell myself it's OK Cole is there. BUT...lmao. its so hard not to think of Resident Evil and Alice. The way they shit all over the lore and did what they wanted STILL pisses me off till this day. I just can't believe they would go that route with MK KNOWING fans of RE were so pissed. BUT AGAIN lol. I'm going to wait to see the film and where it goes. That actual characters are given their justice. The fact still remains, Cole is not in the games like I stated. 🤷

For that reason I think Shujinko and Taven can be justified to some extent, similar to Blaze. But as MK Mega fans come on. Cole will never be added to the MK Universe as an official character. They may try but Idc if he's in the next 4 movies. I still would never consider him to be apart of that world. This movie alone somehow proved that Cole has more importance than Liu Kang himself? and with the abilities to beat Goro? Mk superfans aren't gunna let that slide. His fuckin ability is literal plot armor. Imagine that in a game. And that wont change I guarantee it. Movies and movies alone is where Cole will stay. The least they can do for Cole is make the fucking lore line up correctly with the rest of the world. I'm curious to know what you're general opinion on that is as well. Its a matter of opinion obviously, but I'm curious none the less

Allow me to explain: Triborg is made up of Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke. If you've played MKX you know how variations work. You pick 1 of 3 variations for your character that gives them certain abilities. For Triborg, each variation turns him into a different cyborg. But if you pick a character, and when it prompts you to pick a variation you press up, up, Y/Triangle (it just depends on the system you're using) you play the match with no variation. For Triborg, the secret is that the no variation is Cyber Sub-Zero. he's basically a secret character.
