Shao Kahn's voice work and portrayal in Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) was Legendary, I would argue the best in the game series. He was played by Voice Actor Bob Carter. This portrayal of the character was not only evil, but the true definition of an Evil Conqueror, Hell bent on Conquering all. And Bob Carter's voice acting really made the character shine. What do you think of Shao Kahn's character in Mortal Kombat (2011)?

I like this voice. He sounds deep and evil, but he’s not the straightforward brute and is instead the villainous leader. He loves fighting but actually considers plans before heading out to battle.

now THIS is the real shao kahn. such a shame to see arguably the best fighting game villain butchered so badly past mk9. from being super powerful, having mastery over numerous forms of sorcery and kombat, and even teaching shang tsung and skarlet their sorcery, intelligent, cunning, and the konqueror of realms, to a dumb hammer swinging brute without magic, and now a jobber being beaten by even kitana and others. i really hope they redeem the character and return him to how he used to be.

Lui Kang I can agree but i couldn’t really agree with kung lao death. Especially when shao was sitting there beforehand watching everything happen. Shao when kung lao was celebrating basically “sucker punched” kung lao’s neck at best raiden didn’t pay attention. At worst it’s raiden’s fault due to the fact he could say or stopped shao Kahn by doing a warning shot.

I love how you can clearly tell Shao Khan wanted someone more than happy and without hesitation to kill someone, or you know,Shao Khan wanted a bloodthirsty killer for a Daughter. 4:53 - 5:16 6:39 - 7:00 Shao Khan through Kitana and her entire life, Shao Khan greatly tried to do the whole thing with Kitana, but at the coliseum, he experienced first hand that the whole thing wasn't going to work and Shao Khan just completely saw Kitana as a lost cause. Is it weird if I like Shao Kahn here better than him in mk11, he seems like a dumb brute in MK11, this shao kahn seems more calculated and strong. Shao kahn is comparable to thanos, not only is he strong as hell..but he’s also intelligent too, he is NOT a dumb muscle brute who runs into every fight with his hammer and yells “ARGHHH IM SHAO KAHN”, this dude waited 500 years to conquer one realm for gods sake.
