The thing I like the most about Netherealm games and why I like them more than other fighters is the all around balance. All the characters feel pretty equal and non feel too OP. Plus their backstories are always really in depth, even in the old MK titles, and make you interested in them. The other thing I really enjoy is whereas other fighting games you can kind of tell the story modes aren't too high of a priority, but with Netherealm they go the extra mile with hiring well known actors for voices, and make you feel fully immersed in kind of like an interactive movie.

***** its been to long. Netherrealm is the type of company to do things ahead of time. Theres a good chance that theyre gonna start making theyre next game before injustice 2 even gets released, if they haven't already. Theres a chance for more dlc but, a very, very slim one. I give it a 5% chance at best

Ed Boon is the coolest dude.. Great game developer. Johnny Cage reminded me Jean Claude too, when I first seen MK game in video cafe about 15 years ago. I took a topology forms from Kitana and Liu Kang bodies MK 1995 as men and female models and mixed them with other stuff for my game ^^

I'll always go MK over SF any day, just for story and better developed characters alone plus the first fighting game to offer an option to OFF/KILL the guy after a fight? I mean that is just an genius and brilliant idea. MK is indeed one of the best fighters ever made and as iconic as any other franchise in gaming history. Period. Lastly, Psi-Ops what a great game that game set the platform for games like Force Unleashed and Infamous. Such a great game and vastly underrated.

MK is the better franchise especially now and the past 10 years because not just the games selling better than past few SF games(MK 9 and MK X did better worldwide) but with other expanded mediums between the comics, web series, movies, music etc MK is clearly more successful.

+Tempest Brown, I'm talking overall success. Not saying SF is horrible or anything(though some may say SF5 was lacking) I'm aware that for years MK from a competitive viewpoint wasn't taken as seriously as SF(that's not to say some MK's couldn't or can't be played more high level) it's just the game wasn't aimed at that crowd except for a few MK's and the current games that are made to be accessible yet offer the tools for the higher level players online and off. Which is a good thing IMO. At the end of the day both have had their share of weaker MK games and weaker SF games from a gameplay viewpoint, depending on the era both have had flops at times both have had them over the years I admit. Both have had stronger games as well. But, from a general viewpoint of which franchise currently is more popular? I'm pretty sure most would vote MK in every region except for Japan/Asia which is one region, the rest of the world I'm pretty sure would say MK currently however. MKX did amazingly well, sold the most out of any MK game ever made(and keep in mind I'm not a huge fan of MK X) it's great in it's own way, I respect that but personally I'm not a fan of the pro rushdown element and anti-defensive/zoning execution in it, still I respect the success of it. I personally enjoyed MK 9 more though even though kabal, kl and cyrax could have been a bit more tweaked. In terms of gaming characters I think both are about equal I mean let's be honest, everyone knows who Ryu is as well as Scorpion. Agreed? But you're right, they are very different with style, gameplay, story, characters, power levels etc the thing they have in common is the same genre and both 2D. Both have tried 3D, both kind of failed at it sadly... I'd love to see an MK vs. SF, I think it's hard for everyone to like both equally. It's kind of like DC and Marvel, some people enjoy both but majority prefer one over the other.
