Dreamcast was ended up being one of the best systems IMO, so many great features, and ahead of it's time, tbh. Online support, DLC, web, mouse and keyboard, and some really awesome online MP games. Capcom released so many freaking games on the DC too.

dreamcast was Sega's major failure causing them to switch from both software and hardware to only hardware, at the time the performance was basically unmatched but they never really "locked" the system so homebrew/pirated games ran soo easily that sega lost a shit ton of money on it.

Sega already had a damaged reputation due the Sega Saturn commercial failure and the cancelled Sonic Xtreme game, and their ridiculous unnecessary add-ons for the Saturn. They lost to the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 instantly. Basically shot their own foot in that era. While Dreamcast was an underrated and a more powerful console than the PlayStation. Just couldn’t live up due Sega’s failures in that era.

Aside from the games library... which PS2 has in spades over the DC... I actually prefer my DC to my PS2. Better graphics and sound, innovative VMU (however under-utilised it ended up being), pressure sensitive L+R triggers... It could've beaten the PS2, if marketed properly... especially with the "online out of the box" thing. Oh well. It's in the past now.

The reason Noob Saibot doesn't have any cool moves or uniqe fatalities is because he is actually an unfinished character. He was removed from the game early in development and when the game was ported to home consoles they decided to add him as a secret character. But there was one problem: he was unfinished and didn't have any special moves nor fatalities. So they just copied other characters moves and fatailities and put them in Noob Saibot (like Tanya's fireball, Reiko's fatalities...).

Thanks, I used DcEmu in the past, however I only have a BIOS (rightfully from my DC Ownership) and a couple of tangible games owned, so I could possibly only legally own them through DcEmu. Judging from the effort to download, make settings and use a suitable PC. It would be much easier and comfortable to use the Dreamcast itself. I bought Power Stone 2 today and hope it plays well. Thanks though, emulators are cool.

I don't know why people hated on Gold, i mean...it's pretty much a near perfect version of MK4. Yes, by then MK was far past its prime and HEAVY fan burnout kicked in, but MK4 was a really cool game that just had bad timing (and hit the polygon ceiling...although, in my opinion, it made the transition to 3D very well). I wish MK 4-7 got some form of re-release on modern systems. I'd get them in a pinch! (Specially Deception, which is one of my all-time favorites!)

Go back to school mate, I don't know how old you was in 1998 or if you are just a casual gamer but Dreamcast was a glorious, legendary console with a wide range of masterpieces of all kind. It's considered the best console ever came out by many. Its failure was due to bad poor marketing, Sony supremacy and finacial problems that Sega was struggling to deal with.
