This game had the best combo system because it wasn't designed to have elaborate combos to begin with. When it first came out, people in the arcades were impressed with basic 2-hit combos. If you did a mid-screen 3-hit combo, it was like you discovered fire. The combos began to suck in MK3 and afterward because the combos were dumbed down and juggling was so easy. Kids today don't know how to develop video games.

@@masterfighter1618 Hi, Pavlik. If you hit at the last possible unblockable frame, the game will think you are on the ground, while you will be actually still in the air. In MK2, since there is no combo system, the game will do a hit reset. This will allow you to perform another Fan Lift. I've explained it here as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4Gzd6ecjJqhpKc That is also why you can do with Shang Tsung - [Scorpion] aaHP x 2, Teleport Punch, Spear - [Kitana Morph] Fan Lift.
