Kitana and Mileena have grown up thinking that they are sisters, yet have grown apart over the years. Despite Mileena's growing resentment towards Kitana, Shao Kahn uses them to destroy all who threaten his rule. But when they come upon King Jerrod on one of their missions, they finally learn the truth about their Mother and Father, and Kitana looks to plot her revenge against Shao Kahn.

I wonder what would happen if mileea found out that shao kahn was using her and purposely try to drive a wedge between her and kitana. Would she have become a better person? Or would she remain the same? Part reason the way she is was cause kitana rejected her as her sister. It would be interesting to see an au with mileena struggling with her nature and alignment and slowly be swayed to be good. But have it where a difficult path she struggles with as would make it more interesting. ^^ Maybe one day.

Either way, it would've been a change of plot. But it would be difficult for Mileena to control her hunger no thanks to Shang Tsung. Even if it was sad to hear how Mileena was created to become, let's just agree that Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn are at fault for making a likeness that will obey them.

I don't mind the new timeline honestly. It feels a bit more grounded while the original people were dying and being reborn every other second. The new timeline at least shows a small hint of consequence.

The old timeline was getting out of hand and a reboot was necessary to keep the series alive. Especially since the 3D era introduced like 20 new people every game and Armageddon was needed to kill all these dumb people off.

JC4R Except the old made you care for the characters. The new one destroys all character story arcs of the originals and births new characters that are so generically mediocre, they immediately get put on hiatus. Much prefer the original timeline because it had a dark and tormented atmosphere which the new timeline has destroyed.

i can't wait for the movie. With solid writing, MK can have its own little MCU going on. I wanna see the elder gods, I wanna see wars, I wanna see political conflict, Shao Kahn taking over Edenia, Sindel reviving from the dead. They pushed the MK movie and its trailer release date until next year which kinda sucks, but I have seen the casting for Mileena, which is a biracial girl which means mileena is definitely black, which also means that she will also be playing kitana. I think they're going with unknown talent who seem to have a background in stunts and martial arts which is cool. The games don't have good lore tbh, but the movies should really help flesh out the games. I can't wait for next year!

Maybe not… we don’t know if The black Mileena was indeed the real Mileena? They can’t do films without Mileena vs Kitana… maybe it was another clone… there is still hopes cause they are planning several sequels and spin offs so it won’t be surprising if Mileena come backs in one of them… I mean what is the point of the rivalry of both twins we saw through all these decades if they don’t show us a real good fight between the two…
