Call GL a wimp all you want, but DAMN his Heroic Brutalities were easily the most hardcore!!! They would even make pretty decent, if bloodless, fatalities nowadays! (And, really, i wouldn't mind at least ONE creative fatality where it isn't just butchering the enemy but just seriously fucking them up)

God it's hard to watch in 2021,in mk9, mkx, and mk11 the fatalities are overkills, here some of the fatalities aren't even "fatal", in liu kang's arcade drop, the guy still moves like:get this thing off me! Sony's neck snap seems harmless really, and on the other hand, some the heroic brutalities look fatal! I mean who can still flinch after superman stomps him full force from the sky? That doesn't kill, but kano's stupid cannonball jump does... can't believe at the time it came out I really liked it because I really wanted a mk with good graphics

My issue with MK vs DC has always been that they toned down the violence. Sure, it's still violence, but compare it to any other Mortal Kombat game, and it's not even close. I understand why it was done. DC probably didn't want their characters in a game with as much blood and gore that's usually in MK, so it had to be toned down a bit. But still. That just makes MK vs DC a watered down MK9, with some DC characters thrown in. Honestly, I think instead of making MK vs DC, they should have just had some DC characters as DLC for MK9. Joker, Harley, Deathstroke, etc. Some of the more interesting characters that'd be likely to be around MK type violence.
