I do not like the fact that they added multiple additional minion spawns, but this was tremendously helpful in helping me understand the boss's attacks and a good strategy. I was eventually able to get it, in part thanks to this.

@@bustergundo516 They really are. The best thing that helped for me was to run away, watching for when the boss would attack as well, and do a leaping slash towards a bunched up group of them, hardening in the air, and rolling away after they break it in case it doesn't get all of them.

I just defeated the boss and i found a really good way to beat the minions, but it may take practice. Theres a trick in this game where if you harden as youre attacking it can potentially damage enemies attacking you and not soften you. I grouped all of the minions together at once. And they all died in seconds. By only hardening once and not moving 🤣 strongly advise this method as saves a lot of stress trying to deal with them. Im not too sure on the timing of it though but you can practice with other enemies in another playtrhough to get a feel for it.

You didn't get the phase where he summons other shells... He does it twice... The cyclone thing is his third phase...

I keep getting 2 phases of the boss summoning adds at like roughly 75% health then at 50% , thats even before he goes into the whirlpool , if there was no adds at all this would be easy , but its all those adds man !

this boss is literally impossible for me .. cause 60% of the time the waves are invisible and do not render, i get black flickers on him after a stagger, if i stagger him he always jumps far away ... he pushes me into the 2nd wave that i have already dodged while i dodge it .. the 2nd wave sometimes despawns right when i was about to dodge it and spawns behind me where je just landed ..

For anyone struggling with the minions, the best way i found is dodge back once as they jump attack you individually and hit them, you have plenty of time to hit them back. Afterwards if you missed the first chance they usually side swing at you which i either harden or dodge back again (DO NOT DODGE ROLL as you wont have enough time to get back into their space to hit them before they hit you unless your confident with getting hard) when multiple enemies gather up its best to attack harden. (Where you attack and harden in mid animation so you attack as soon as you get hit) you can also use your weapon ability to attack multiple but it can be very risky. Your honestly best using the standard sword fully upgraded, since it isnt slow. Not sure if the hammer and chisel is better for this fight. For the double waves. I prefer just running and rolling straight through them to get it over with and bring my focus back to the boss and dodge or harden as he slide attacks you, also, DONT forget, he can sometimes fire a projectile from above after the second wave attack. (DONT have lock on on as you do this as at times you dont dodge the last wave properly and can risk dodging onto the outside of the wave. ) prioritise this if he does this move with minions chasing you. For damaging the boss, if you use your ability (with the regular sword) you can definitely get a good 5-6 hits on him at once. BEWARE however as he staggers he can kill you from the left side if his beak or head falls on you. Also sometimes he CAN kill you as you use your weapon ability which is maybe a glitch? It doesnt always kill you though. I havent beaten him yet, hes fairly easy, but really really annoying. Almost beat him once. Ive died a good few times with the screen jittering or got hit a millisecond before hardening This game overall wasnt much trouble for me, crucix and Martyr just took a bit of practice. The rest of the game i just ran past everything with all the stamina. Think i only killed 3 enemies outside of the bosses. Glad it wasnt overly stressful, cause these loading screens make retrying very discouraging.

Forgot to add, as your attack the minions always try to keep the boss in your line of sight. He isnt too much trouble until the 2nd and 3rd phase.

For the minions i used the hollowed sword and made a heavy attack and as soon that the blade was sticking forward I'd harden an they'd just jump into the sword insta dying, it was fun Edit: you have to gather the first

I'm here because thrice I got immediately sucked into the whirlpool. Was so confused, randomly a whirlpool appear right underneath me. I guess just my bad luck, standing in the middle of the whirlpool point everytime it happens. Also, I think the game has been updated. He spawns those minions way before the whirlpool stuff. At 75% health in fact.

Anyone struggling with the third phase were he creats a whirlpool. Try to sprint to the edge of the arena and harden just in case. It takes a hot minute but the boss doesn't heal itself. The only downside to this is it won't get rid of any minions. But the only spawn when getting in the render distance, so i would kill them really fast afterwards. Disclaimer, i played on a ps4 and it worked i do not know if it's possible on ps5. Good luck everyone.

In the second phase, every time the boss hits me from above when he's flying or whatever, I keep getting pushed outta the floor.. It's driving me crazy because I could have beat the damn game like 3 times already.. also, where is the damn molten spike thing for the hollow sword

The molten spike is in one of those frog chests in the fog, it's the one in the big campsite over by the giant frog guy, Id recommend just watching a vid to see exactly where tho

I really liked this game but this boss ruined it for me, not for difficulty or anything but the game would break, as in textures bugging out all the time, the roll button not working at all, and getting hit from him being literally at the other side of arena and him TPing everywhere with no reason. The final boss was patched out, whatever you do he will summon 3x as dps checked and +1 once its hp dropped to 1/4, hes harder now imo

Yeah something’s wrong, when I get in there he’s real easy to walk around and dodge but when I take a good portion of his health away he will immediately jump back and I’ll sprint towards him and he’ll keep jumping back sending tidal waves at me and just slams his fist down right in front of me and spawns a bunch of ads and continues to spawn them over and over and while fighting the ads hell decide to jump 100 feet in the air and dive bomb me but if I go towards him he’ll retreat unless I’m fighting the ads.

Alright he’s actually not that difficult, try doing this. -Whenever he backs off, don’t approach him he will come to you. He will either do the slide attack or he’ll dive and fly at you. -when you see the tidal waves, spam roll as you can use the invulnerability to get through them. -use the minions as a source to refill hp. They all run in with that jumping attack so it’s pretty easy to parry them and if you have resolve you can get a free heal. Even bigger heal if you have the upgrades. -don’t know what weapon you are using but for the minions use a quick weapon like the hallowed sword or hammer and chisel. You can use the vestiments to switch to these mid boss fight and even mid-combo.

Do you know this wouldn't be difficult if the last third of his life he didn't jump away from your special attacks every time. Once you get down to about a third of his health your special attacks literally do nothing because he just jumps away almost every time. The reason I don't like mechanics like this is because it's not based on skill at all. It's based on luck. I don't like video game mechanics based on luck and RNG

If you're ever low on health use tainted nectar then hop back in your body full health repeat it's not an item that kills you it's an item it's meant to fully heal you provided you get back to your body before you get killed so on a build like you play so very good method a lot easier to come by then ethereal diapason
