Mortal Shell's upcoming expansion, The Virtuous Cycle, features a new roguelike mode, new playable shell, and new transforming axe-katana weapon. Check out the launch trailer for a look at what to expect.
Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle launches on August 18 for Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The DLC will be free until August 23, 2021.

@Mantiscular239 Play on your PC without HDR and on a small 1440p screen. That is one caveat of being a PC gamer is most don't know what HDR/4k truly looks like because 60% of the PC population don't have 4k HDR monitors yet. HDR/4K is convenient and simple on consoles. You wouldn't be able to make much of a difference this gen anyway if that's a PC gameplay or console.

It's more the fact that you CAN play pretty blandly if you like and still be able to complete it. Like you can go through the whole thing with one shell & weapon basically but the fun is in using the variety and mechanics. Bit like souls, using variety can up the difficulty but makes it fun to try things out. There's also some nice charm to the game like the lute
