I didn't realize they made the choice to leave the North American market for Europe and the rest of the world but in all honesty I think they made the right choice; it was America's loss of course, but because of the internet we have found them again and are enjoying everything we missed. They are a class act and no one compares to them. Morten is so smart and it is so refreshing to listen to him.

The certainly didn't need America to make them the band they are and the amazing band they still are today. I like the fact that they have their own take on things - it makes them different to tall the other 80's bands, They are still going strong with new material - hurray! I became a fan after the broke up now I'm hooked. So happy they came back together.

He had s huge effect on me, I'd never seen anyone so gorgeous. He still is gorgeous, so is Magne. Think I've seen every show they've done!!! (,On KZbin!) STILL love him, and Magne to bits! I live in Texas and it's very frustrating for me. I never stopped being a fan. I even went to the a-ha 30th anniversary party in Oslo in 2012. But that is how it is. If I wanted to see a-ha (or now, Morten Harket) I have to get a passport and book a flight. Which is obviously not something a regular person like me can afford to do so often.

Take on me was their only #1 hit in the US. It's what most Americans remember along with the music video. Although Sun always shines on TV was high up in the charts as well it didn't have as much success as it did in England and the rest of the world and it's not the first song that comes to mind if you ask most Americans. Take on me was and always will be their biggest hit in the United States and since nothing else came close to the success of the song and music video, Americans only remember them for that.
