You have to love Morten. He could at least be up against the house getting some protection from the weather, but instead he is out in the rain with a smile on his face. He is as comfortable in bad weather as most of us are in our own homes.

Hello Morten, Thank you so much for your work and passion. The perfection and love that you put into your videos make it so easy to immerse oneself in them within seconds. I’m already looking forward to all the projects in 2025 and would love to see more travels (similar to your trip to Svalbard) and exciting projects, ranging from small songbirds to large mammals, if you take us along. Thank you for sharing your life with us, giving photographers and viewers new inspiration, and showing us how beautiful our world out there truly is.

Happy new year mate. I just bought 100-400(was on 70-300 before) and man that autofocus. Still a bit short and I moved back to Europe from Au. The animals here and in the winter just fly away from hundreds of meters away. So hard. And so much mud that I bought knee protectors from hardware store. Shooting ice crystals is epic though. Everything different, light different, its like learning photography again.

I found myself smiling at my screen seeing the photos at the end. You know one which stood out the most though? 21:02 . Not being able to see the species but having clues of them, what a wonderful thing to let the imagination try to paint Thank you Morten! You are inspiring me a lot at the beginning of this journey :)

Thanks for this video, fantastic as always. A neighbourhood full of wildlife mirrors exactly my experiences. Today morning I filled up the buffet on my balcony. Tikki already had had an early breakfast as the nutshells told me. Within minutes the first birds came, different t-birds, robin, dunnock. The little wren seems to stay all day, perhaps sleeping in a nestbox or hidden behind ivy and branches from my former Christmas decoration. The woodpeckers are already in mating mood. I was sitting in my rocking chair, taking down some notes from the other day. When I looked up a blackbird was munching on fat pellets. That's remarkable, because there haven't been any blackbirds for almost a year due to usutu-virus, reducing population. A second male was observing from the tree. "If he is able to get through the net protecting the balcony from pigeons, I can do that too". He tried several times before he managed it. Put some apple slices outside and they came back. It it so interesting to watch how different birds eat mealworms. Some hit them like a kingfisher would do with his prey, some slurp them in, some grab them neatly with their toes and eat tiny bits. The whole time a buzzard was sitting on the chimney of another house, warming himself, preening the feathers, looking around, taking a nap. I remember seeing that last year already. Living close to people has it advantages. The buzzard stayed for more than two hours. Too far away for a picture, even with a 800 mm, but nice to watch through binoculars. Last Thursday we had lots of snow and I got some close-ups of Tikki, the squirrel, eating walnuts with snowflakes glittering in her fur. And the female woodpecker with a beak full of mealworms. I definitely could watch for hours....So interesting to watch the interactions and after a while knowing individuals.
