The band was founded in 1989 under the name Casket, but their name was later changed to Mortician after writing their first song, "Mortician". Will Rahmer was Incantation's vocalist during the period John McEntee played in Mortician. The band has an obsession with horror and sci-fi movies, which is where their main influences comes from lyric-wise. On every album they use stock sample footage.
I upload this video to pay tribute to the great Mortician the most brutal band ever and also because it was not in better quality. I have no rights reserved. All credits go to Mortician. The video was made by me (Aldrin Garcia)

@@putrescentvermindefinitely influenced but listen to Primitive Brutality 1989 tracks off of 10 years comp, basically first instance of BDM before Mortician or Suffocation, also was Roger Beujord’s one man project too, bro basically invented and perfected NYDM before any other band released a demo lol Songs I recommend from Primitive Brutality Terminal World(1989 recording) Life Of Death (1991) Even I swear Roger has to be an alien when doin the frog vocals lol meanwhile Cannibal Corpse was practically a thrash band during their demo same with Suffocation’s demo.

I can see people calling this demo Brutal Death metal, but I have to disagree. It doesn't quite have that chuggy "DUN DUN" quality, unlike Suffocation's Human Waste (which while having come out later, I believe invented BDM). I think that this demo is a ton more grindy and has a much bigger Napalm Death and Repulsion influence, so I think it slots more comfortably under Deathgrind.
