Mortician Embalms & Beautifies You ASMR

I am so, so, so sorry about my ceiling T_T
So, this medical ASMR experience is a little unorthodox. Imagine, if you will, that you are in an eternal peaceful slumber, and a jolly mortician is tasked with embalming you and then making your face pretty for your 'big day'.
Yes, it's a little morbid, but I'd be interested in what you think! Plenty of triggers, including white noise, chit chat, and make up!

Apparently people who do this irl for a long time sometimes end up seeing bodies move. There’s been cases of them hallucinating, some people say it’s just their brains making it up but I like to think it’s the persons ghost moving on after knowing they’ve been cared for.

ah yes the "last breath" its actually really common!! I don't remember the specific reason but i believe it has something to do with the machinery they use to yk- clean up the people.

@@keycannot If you’re referring to dead bodies making a moaning noise and breathing out that’s because the bacteria in the decomposing body releases a lot of gas. As the body no longer has a working respiratory system, it just kinda leaks out of their mouth and hits the vocal cords, causing the moaning!

As a mortician i can affirm bodies can move sometimes, but its mostly because of Rigor mortis and Cadaveric spasms, obviously a dead person cannot get up and walk, but it can sometimes open their eyes, lift their arms and even in some cases grab your hand! That's why morticians need to shut eyes, sew mouths and massage sometimes the bodies appart from other stuff

Absolutely nothing wrong with morbid, Jim. It takes all aspects to make this mundane life interesting. :-) This reminds me of my night shift years as an ICU RN. I was always called on to wash and wrap, don't know why others were so opposed to it. Let's just say that I got lots and lots of good therapy sessions during the task, as these type of patients are very good listeners, and don't spill the beans to anyone. Very important life decisions were made during these sessions, in fact. At least now I know what my patients experienced... well, kind of... while I was busy with them. I've always struggled to breathe through those masks, and now I don't really have a choice but to wear one double the thickness. Well done to you for making this entire video through that mask. I salute you.

I have a few things to say. I absolutely love this idea! The video was amazing as always! I was originally going to go to Uni for Funeral Services so I could become a mortician (I'd rather have been called an Undertaker, it sounds cooler lol) but unfortunately I was stuck between that major and my current major which is Graphic design. I chose my current major because my scholarship wouldn't have transferred over to the one school I would've needed to go to for my fourth year, plus I'm terrible at comforting people and dealing with their emotions. Finally the last thing I wanted to say is that I have a funeral I have to go to on Wednesday. My mom's friend Pam's mother died a few days ago we were all close, Pam is like my aunt and her mom was like my gram. I was told to call her gram the first time I had met her a few years ago. Gram had suffered from alzheimer's and dementia, I'm glad she is no longer suffering 🖤

Normally, the mortician places a serrated button on the eyes and often a line of gorilla glue to make sure the eyes are closed. The jaw is closed usually with a brad injected into the maxilla and the mandible each brad fitted with a wire. The two thin wires are twisted together to hold the mouth closed. The lips are usually sealed with glue. The abdominal cavity is first aspirated by use of a trocar, a hollow steel tube, pointed at one and, connected to a soft rubber hose at the opposite end. The hose is attached to a special fitting at he head of the tap over the deep sink at the foot of the embalming table. Venturi action of the running water establishes suction in the hose and the trocar. Then the mortician punctures the abdomen with the trocar and aspirates fluids and such from the abdomen, all of which travels up the trocar, through the hose through the tap fitting down into the deep sink and down the drain. Then the mortician attaches the hose to a bottle of cavity fluid, a more concentrated formaldehyde solution than the arterial fluid, and gravity feeds it into the abdomen, making sure to inject all internal organs from whence their contents were just aspirated. When finished a plastic trocar button is used to seal the puncture hole made by the trocar. All in all, your scenario is fairly true to form.
