Ol Puddin decided it was time to let go of his old squarebody dually so I jumped at the chance to own his very own "Oklahoma Lullaby"! He said it was road ready but I decided to put tires on it before the trip and we also found a few other things he wasn't aware of and addressed them before our 1200 mile journey toting a loaded trailer! I had the '93 4wd version of this truck. I got it in a combination with a 4 horse Featherlite gooseneck trailer. It would get between 11-12 mpg. in mostly hwy. commuting. I thought that was pretty good for a 454. It was a NICE hauler/work truck. But, I'm a Cummins man so it went down the road.

The 91 Ford Diesel had a cracked or separated ingition switch that did not let the switch tod operate. Seventeen bucjs to replace and we partially dropped the steering column down for access. . We had that sweet truck given to us by a guy who inherited ut from his dad and didn't have room for it.

Had you been in Tx doing 93 mph towing a vehicle with no trailer lights I think the ticket would've required a bank loan... I had to go see the "judge" for doing 90 mph is a construction zone ... Which meant I had to drive 5 hours one way back to that county so the "judge" could fine me over $700 that had to be paid on the spot ... Lesson learned... Driving late at night in a construction zone (which I did not realize) at 90 mph can seriously inconvenience a guy ...
