Morwyn y Blodau (Lady of the Flowers): Welsh Song by Ceredwen

Beautiful song from Ceredwen's first album, O'r Mabinogi. It tells about a man named Lleu who was cursed by his mother, Arianrhod, so that he would never get a wife from human race. His uncle, Gwydion, fashioned a beautiful woman from wild flowers, together with Math the Magician, to become Lleu's wife, and called her Blodeuedd.

Yes, it's true. In the fourth branch of Mabinogion. It was because she fell in love to a lord named Gronw, so they plotted to murder Lleu (whose weakness was more complicated than the last Final Destination installment). Lleu was struck with a spear but didn't die, instead transformed into an eagle and flew away, before being rescued by his uncle. Blodeuedd was then turned into an owl, the creature hated by all birds.

@@willrichardson519 Right, you, clear up to Dun Edin (Edinburgh). Welsh historians refer to this region as Yr Hen Ogledd, the Old North. The "Scottish" epic Y Gododdin was actually written in early Welsh, the tragic story of Welsh soldiers trying to defend what's now southern Scotland from the invading Angles.
