@@afg1951lash whats going on! I’m about to graduate from the 35G course in two weeks, the demand is looking really strong! We need a lot of golfs as there are roughly 2000 golfs within the whole army. We struggle to keep 35Gs because they always get out after their first contract making 6 six figures right off the bat. On the flip side I love being a Golf! We can’t really say much what we do because 95% of what we do Is strictly classified. But I can say if your daughter likes to look at the earth from a birds eyes view all day she’ll love this job.

Looking at imagery and geospatial information using software, and then answering specific requirements or requests as it relates to a place or activity. The field is very broad and a GEOINT analyst in one location won't be necessarily using the same type of imagery or geospatial information as an analyst somewhere else. The 35G schoolhouse will provide the necessary training to get you off to a good start. Can't really say much beyond that, but it's a great field that is constantly evolving and has civilian sector job security. Granted, you'll do the technical side of your job more in some military assignments than others.

It depends on the unit your assigned, what’s going on in the military world and how good you are at your MOS. Like the guy below said you can end up PMCSing trucks all day or you can be assigned to a special task force like myself.

One is an Imagery Analyst (35G) the other is a Geospatial Engineer (12Y). 35G analyze mostly imagery vs 12Y create maps and don't necessarily. Intelligence VS Engineers.

@Michael Lee Socet GXP is the primary tool used by 35G they do use some tools from 12y. 35G are intelligence analyst vs 12y are engineers who design maps for customers. They cohesively work together but have different roles when it comes to what type of organization their attached too.

Which MOS would be most like drone mapping and surveying? The Drone guys fly aircraft to collect the data (photos or LIDAR) then process the data into maps, geo-rectify them and analyze them for grade, cut/fill volumes and surface structures and anomalies. The workflow typically starts with a topographic survey and continues to monitor earthworks. as construction continues, 2D and 3D models are produced periodically to document progress and identify details about the site for materials, safety and quality. control.

It’s a depths perception test ..it’s dots on a line and you have to see which is further/ closer bigger/smaller and color vision test..and I think you can wear classes
