Certain tracks, just capture the spirit of their time, and of their genre so perfectly, and this is one that I go back to much more than many others. There was this little “socially conscious” hip-hop movement that happened in the early 00’s, and I loved it. Of course I listen to the classics, Biggie, Pac, Dre, etc.....I grew up on that. Mos Def, Talib, Common and others though.....really good. Maybe it was just a thing that my life was really good in the early 00’s? Thats why I revere this music? Could be.....or its just good.
