@@FiberFoxStudios my pleasure. Thanks for taking the time to teach / show us how to knit these beautiful mosaic stitches. I’m in love with all the different patterns. I’ve been following you since March this year . So far I have knitted 5 blankets ( mosaics) different patterns for my family, they are thrilled how the colours blends in . Right now I’m knitting # 6 blanket is for me ( this tutorial) and I’m half way ( winter it’s over 😂 ) Congratulations Courtney , you are an excellent tutor … Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺

Hi Courtney, love your chanel and have done many of your designs including this one. Just FYI, if you look closely, there's a mistake in row 20. Should be 5 sc, 1 dc, 7 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc, 1 dc, 3 sc, 1 dc, 4 sc. Not criticizing, just trying to be helpful. Keep creating! I could never do what you're doing!!!
@FiberFoxStudios2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lori! I know which row you are talking about 😁The video matches exactly to the chart for it, as I designed it to look. You totally can customize it and work yours the way you think it looks best. I have had emails about it before so I'm super familiar with that row 🤣🤣😘❤ I appreciate you looking out because I definitely could mess up a video and have! 🤣

So glad I am able to catch up on your tutorials. I so like the time you take to list the time frame for each row. Your tutorials are addictive. Your voice is engaging. By far the easiest Teacher to follow. Because of you I am so interested in this type of overlay crochet. I do have a question. Would you also teach inset mosaic crochet? Thank you so much. Eva
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Eve! I actually don't know inset Mosaic. I had to teach myself overlay and haven't gotten into teaching inset. The chaining, skipping thing gets me confused. Lol If you can recommend a good teacher on here maybe I could learn it enough to design and teach in it?

Can you please show the back, there are pockets behind the dc, it this correct or do I grab the dc when I do the sc? Looks wrong with the pocket…help
@FiberFoxStudios2 жыл бұрын
That is correct, everything Mosaic on my channel is all overlay mosaic crochet and all overlay Mosaic Crochet will look like this when you have a series of DC stitches. Check out this video for what backside looks like and I linked in that video description the anchored dc that you can use to eliminate the gaps kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6bXo6hjftR0h6s

3.50mm is E-4. If it were a size G-6, then it would be 4.00mm. Just clarifying the size of the crochet hook.

OK so I purchased the pattern that’s in the description box and what you’re describing do not match - what am I missing and what did I buy?
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
The right pattern is linked I just doubled checked so you bought the right thing (I believe) so that's the good news. There are different variations you have to you the one labeled as option 4 for this video to match up. You should have had 2 pdf files to download. If you look over the charts you will see the difference is in the background/space in between the main design. If none of this is helping you please message me on etsy so I can track down your order and make sure there isn't any 8ssue there. Sorry for your trouble but we can figure it out don't worry 😉😊
@cyndip51073 жыл бұрын
@@FiberFoxStudios Thank you so much - I am going to print the patterns again to make sure I didnt miss any of them. Then will watch the video again and follow along. When it says pattern 22 option 4 do you mean page 4 or is it page 5? It looks like page 5 is what you’re describing but I don’t see options noted.
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
I wonder if your printer is maybe cutting it off, it should say OPTION 4 at the top corner of your charts, it might be on the right side top corner just above the chart. Let me know if you do not see it. I use the charts to do the videos so I know it's on it somewhere! Lol I usually put them top left but I feel like this one was over to the right when I was filming it.
@cyndip51073 жыл бұрын
@@FiberFoxStudios OK so I double checked I dont believe my printer is cutting anything off when I print - I am on row three and where you say to DC in the first 9 stitches every pattern that I am looking at shows an X in the first 5 stitches....that’s why I think I have the wrong pattern. I am not new to mosaic crochet the pattern that I purchased on this tutorial is not matching.
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
@@cyndip5107 I think the only way to solve this mystery is for you to message me on etsy or via email so I can just send them to you.😁 I need a user name to find your order, scrolling thru its hard to figure out which one might be your order. You can email me here at fiberfoxstudios@gmail.com or just do the etsy shop message whichever you prefer. The link is right and I just downloaded them again from the shop and it's the right pattern but somehow you have the wrong one because Row 3 definitely shows the 9dcs just like you are saying.

I need yardages for blanket
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
You can use the same standard guidelines for different blanket sizes like you would for any other stitch. Overlay is not a big yarn eater. This design is going to use more color A than B for an example would be if I were making a larger throw I'd use 1500 yards in A and about 1000 yards of color b. Hope that helps

First off I'd like to say I love your tutorials. You say several times in your tutorials that this pattern is all about semitry, that being said I think there is a mistake in row 20. You have it going like this 5 single, 1 double, 7 single, 1 double, 5 single, 1 double, 4 single If you want to keep it semitryacl this is how row 20 should be 5 single, 1 double, 7 single, 1 double, 1 single, 1 double, 3 single, 1 double, 4 single. The only reason I saw this was I was trying to do my own graph. If it's not a mistake then I'm sorry for this comment.
@FiberFoxStudios3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And no there isn't a mistake, it's just how I designed this one to get the look I wanted. But as you can see from doing your charts, there are more ways to do things and have a variation of the design!
@brunamarques58353 жыл бұрын
I've Saw that mistake too ... And Now I cant unsee , but I've made it right eheh I came to the comments to see if someone had noticed too

how do I know how much yarn I need to do a project?
@FiberFoxStudios2 жыл бұрын
You work a 1 repeat swatch and measure how much you used, you can pretty much split the yardage between the 2 colors you are using just as a general guideline. There is a video on my how to playlist that explains swatching and measuring, it's by another creator and she explains it really well. Swatching will give you the most accurate figures. However, you can also use standard guidelines that are out there for different projects like a large throw calls for 3000 yards, you'd plan 1500 per color , add 10% extra if ordering the yarn. Hope this helps!
