mOSAic@NUS 2024 Weaves a Tapestry of Stories and Shared Experiences

The annual mOSAic@NUS presents a vibrant testament to the University's commitment in celebrating the rich diversity that defines the NUS community. Held in February, mOSAic@NUS 2024 started with a bang with the ever-popular mOSAic Fest on 7 Feb. Nestled in the heart of UTown Plaza, 14 dynamic student booths-each a kaleidoscope of different cultures, faiths, and communities-convened to offer a feast for the senses through an eclectic mix of food, games, costumes and memorabilia. Students were invited to visit the booths to converse with the different student organisations to learn more about the heritage and origins of the items they showcased.
Video Description:
This video shows highlights of mOSAic Fest, the opening programme of mOSAic@NUS 2024 held at UTown Plaza. It begins with silent clips played over an energetic music track showing stage dance and music performances, followed by engagement activities between student passers-by and groups manning information booths such as games, foot tasting etc.
We cut to Suhaana, the video's host from NUS Radio Pulze. She introduces what mOSAic Fest is about, amid more event highlight clips. We then cut to speech highlights from A/P Adeline Seow (Deputy Dean of Students) who talks about on the purpose of the parent event, mOSAic@NUS in celebrating diversity within NUS Community.
We then follow Suhaana as she interviews students from different CCAs, ethnic backgrounds and courses of study. We meet Michael from the Philippines, Min from Myanmar, who teach us phrases from their native language, followed by Shielda and Brandon who explain their drawings on what they think embodies diversity and acceptance. She then interviews Nicholas and Nicole about their favourite booths. Suhaana closes the video with her observations, before the video transits to its closing credits.
