No it will not. Wipe off the rubber base tacky layer and apply gel polish.

we use Mosaic Finishing wipe liquid. It is also possible to use any other Ethanol based liquid which doesnt have any oils added

Why do you put the rubber base in the middle and spread out to the sides after you put a thin layer of it?

Creates the apex in the center of the nail. You may have seen other videos showing that you should put a bead of product and flip the hand over and left gravity level it towards the center, but the application in this video has a much better result if you've got steady hands and can fan out the product like she did. Amazing tip

You can do fills with it, no need to remove it for the new set

How would I remove the regular gel without having to remove the rubber base?

You can file off the gel or use an efile to take off just the layers of gel polish and the top coat and leave the rubber base on your nail. Then you can smooth out the remaining base on the nail, fill in the gap where the nail has grown out with a new (thin) layer of rubber base, then apply a new gel color and top coat on top. Nailsmartusa has tons of videos on this!

@@angiesofia112 You can also paint regular polish on top of your rubber base, including regular top coat. It lasts just as long as gel polish and makes it a lot easier to switch your sets. You don't have to use a gel top coat for it to last long

@@radmilaciric7946 it may work without wiping too. Wiping gives you an additional warranty that there wont be any problems with adhesion. Some gels have thicker tacky layer and it may become a problem if not wiping it off
