I've NEVER pulled a Teferi and I've opened 5 booster boxes 3 bundles and roughly 100+ loose packs. Yet you open a rando dominaria booster from a toolkit and pull a teferi, lucky bastard!

At my local Meijer store I found what is called a Ravnica Allegiance Collectors Booster pack. It contains 3 rare/mythic 10 uncommon and 2 foils. Costs $12.99. Would be very neat to see some opened.

Look at the good side: even if many years pass, I hardly doubt that they will reprint the invocations, meanwhile planeswalkers are sometimes reprinted in masters sets. So is your card the one that will have more value overtime as a collector item (i think)

Every new toolkit release I try to get one, they give a good selection of the entire set with no effort. Plus for $20 each I can get 2 for $40 and get practically 4 of all the commons and uncommons of the set that it’s in (not even counting the packs). Plus the box is a great starting carrying box Also I train and teach new players so having something like the toolkit to point to for when a new player wants to go further is amazing. I feel confident to have an inexperienced player buy a toolkit to jumpstart their collection and career playing Magic. These are amazing products and should be bought if possible when they are available, unless you are a heavy competitive player then don’t get this but since that is a small minority of the total community

I bought one of these kits when i first started playing magic, It really helped me understand the price point of magic at the time, i made a RB artifact synergy deck as my first deck, then it was immediatly overshadowed by the pre-release i went the next day, SUPER DUPER FUN I OPENED A MASTERPIECE. It was amonkhet. I still got demolished though

Classic examples of power creep: 9:03 nowadays you can get a 1/2 flyer for 1. Strictly better than suntail hawk. IMO this also beats 1/1 lifelink, or even 2/1 elite vanguard which back in the day was an uncommon. 10:12 They have downgraded Thorn Elemental (I remember pulling one in 7th edition back in the mid 00s) from a rare to an uncommon.

Joey if no one has said it. The black part is so your cards don't slide around in the card box. You would take it out as you got more cards to fill the box.

I was wondering since you have a lot of first hand experience buying/opening different items, and also playing with the cards, what would you recommend for a new standard player like myself. I'm just a kid, and a few friends are starting to play MTG standard. I would like to know how to maybe pay like $20-30 for a way to get a few cards to make decks. I don't care if I have the best cards or sets of 4, I just want a few cool cards, and enough to make a deck and have fun! I have lands, and I know mana curve and stuff like that. I just want to know a way to play without spending all my money and get good value. I watch you for awhile now and I saw this, and was thinking about maybe purchasing this or a theme pack(from the video you posted like this or last week).

The tool kits are fun if u get different tool kits and make a deck to mess around with like a sealed pool the fun you never know what you can get in those packs that was an insane pull but I think if you don't have a lot of cash there great to mess around with

Db toolkits always contain a 15 pack of the last 3 sets and the newest one. So it's ravnica allegiance, guilds of ravnica, core set and the deck before that. So, when the newest set drops later this year, dominaria will be eliminated from the toolkit

I have the Ravnica Allegiance and 6 other Deckbuilders kits through out the years. i have bought some actual decks and cards online to make better decks of my opinion. I even got my own daughter into playing magic and she is 8 years old. Still learning but she will get the hand of it eventually and will teach her how to make a deck soon.

The pack with tefferi was indeed weird because tefferi was in the place of the 3rd uncommon not to mention the foil was before the card in the rare slot instead of behind the rare like normal!! Also SKADOOOSH!!

I buy these deckbuilder's toolkits every time they put them out. I even made a game out of it and bought 2, gave one to my friend, and we each built a deck and played them against one another. No real guarantee on what you will get aside from the 5 rares and lands, but a good purchase for anyone looking for a variety of commons and uncommons, and as we've seen, you can get lucky.

Common and uncommon breakdown Here is what I came up with. Grn unique non land 21 common 17 uncommon Rna unique non land. 33 common 23 uncommon 1 of each guildgate artwork 20 total. 1 of each locket. 1 m19 rare for each color from the welcome decks. Non unique Dead weight x 2 Goblin gathering x 3 Take heart x 2 Quench x 2 (Edit) Watched someone else's video and looked like exact same pulls in order. Re(edit) Spoiler alert! Are Toolkits worth buying? Yes. More so for newer players, less so for experienced players. Also, very nice Teferi pull! I'm yet to pull one.
