I started watching true crime channels because of the psychology aspect. I have come to care for the victims & families. It is never okay to ruin lives w/ attacking people via baseless speculation. Your channel is wonderful, thank you.

I enjoy True Crime because I’m very interested how they solve it and the psychology of people who kill. Especially serial killers. When somebody is cleared we need to stop speculating on things that are just baseless and a rumor.

Lauren and Dr John are two of the best of the best creators in True Crime. When I watch, I know I will get factual information and with Dr John’s psychological expertise, it satisfies my desire to understand why. Awww, I'm honored. One little important addition. My comment about "all true crime channels should disappear" had the caveat of "on the net" which implied that the bad outweighs the good, not that the good channels are not value added and make important contributions. I only wish that there were far more Hidden True Crimes. :)
@TheScientificSkeptic2 жыл бұрын
As for John's comment about profiling, I concur on his assessment and said about the same. Some of it and the best of it are indeed evidence-based and grounded in science and statistics but some degree of it is indeed an art and strongly correlates with the quality of the profiler.

Advice for LOUISIANA GIRL- I too did not meet my husband until I was 35. My mother told me “the rest of your life with the wrong person is a very long time.” My husband was my first boyfriend. I always wanted to marry my best friend. We have been together for 26 years and married for 24. We both came from dysfunctional families and we individually had a lot of therapy by the time we met. Therapy was of huge help in not repeating the mistakes of our parents. Always believe you are the best and deserve the best and as John and Lauren said DON’T SETTLE. ❤

I recently read the book The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule. Ann Rule worked with Ted Bundy for a period of time and became a pretty good friend. She tells a ton more information about Ted Bundt’s life than anyone else I have read, very interesting. But like what you are saying…Ted Bundy was insecure because of poor upbringing, or at least not as rich as the group he wanted to belong to. Because of a charming personality and good looks he snags a beautiful girl from an affluent family, he is totally enamored with her. At first she loves him but eventually She rejects him because she saw him as unfocused and she wanted someone affluent as she was used to. So after being rejected this is the type women he attacks over and over.

So glad I've found your channel. I agree, internet sleuths need to use their abilities for good. We might research hundreds of cases in our lifetime and dig up interesting facts. However, the number of cases we're going to be a key too will be rare. I'd encourage people who really want to make that kind of difference to become a PI or LE locally if that's their goal. Other than that, we should be supporting victims and LE above and beyond. We should support people who are trying to make it change laws for victims. We can do so much good in our communities. Creators provide an amazing resource for all of us. I don't know how you do it. The dedication and work it takes to have a KZbin channel and report and investigate these cases must be huge.

Good evening, Lauren and Dr. John. There has been so much discussion about the use of the knife and the possibility/probability that the killer would have wounded himself/herself, during the commission of the crimes. I've often wondered if in fact the killer was indeed wounded, and if there has been a visit, or visits, to any medical facility, to treat any wounds. Do either of you feel as though that this type of information would be shared with the public, or would LE keep this type of information from public knowledge, so as not to tip off the killer?

New subscriber and I appreciate you so much for letting us know what you are thinking about the whole thing. Dr. John I have a question about whether or not you can be cleared by the cops and then you can still be a suspect. Because I have been trying to figure out if JD could still be a suspect because he has the weakest alibi that he was home because his phone was there. I have to say that it could be a case of if I can't have you then nobody can. Whoever it is had to have a intimate knowledge of the house. The first reason why I say this is because of the layout of the house and the fact that you would have to know where you were going to be able to find the different rooms in the dark. The second one is that the doors all have a keypad code locks on them and who slept with the doors locked or would have to know what the code is. Also I don't know how many people knew that she was going to be there for the weekend. I think that it's going to be someone that has to know the dog because I would have to think that he was in the room that they were in and he had to move it. I don't know if they were trying to get ahold of him because of what Adam has been told but I don't think that he was even aware of it. Or that could have been him trying to make a Alibi for himself. Lastly I don't know if he had tried to call her back before he went to the house but if I couldn't get ahold of my girl of 5 years and I was at the house where she was at there's no way that you could have been able to stop me from going to see if she was Ok. I also am starting to wonder if the reason why they are not releasing the 911 call is because of the tone and the calmness of the person that had called it in. I don't know why they would call Ethan's Brother and Kaylee 's ex boyfriend before they are able to call the cops. And that's what makes me think that the doors were locked as Xana’s Mom has said in her News Nation interview and that's the whole interview. I am so sorry for the long response but I don't know how to explain it any less....Dr. John I have a question about whether or not you can be cleared by the cops and then you can still be a suspect. I don't know why they would call Ethan's Brother and Kaylee 's ex boyfriend before they are able to call the cops. And that's what makes me think that the doors were locked as Xana’s Mom has said in her News Nation interview and that's the whole interview. I am so sorry for the long response but I don't know how to explain it any less....

Just started watching this and I am glad I subscribed. Im afraid that maybe the killer has no connection to the victims which seems like it will make it much harder to solve!!

Do you think the alcohol incident at 3:01am by the fraternity house could have been a distraction by someone for the killer to do what he needed to do?

Surely no . Why would a killer want police near or the neighbourhood awake ?
