Thanks for all these tutorials. They are very good. In this video, I think it may be confusing to say the rate of change of Id and Vgs are the same for the obvious reason that it depends on the values of those constant K, Vt, Vp and Idss. My interpretation of the Maths in this video would be this. Both enhancement type and Depletion type share a linear relationship between the variables d(Id)/d(Vgs) and Vgs because it's equivalent to a straight line y=mx + c. Where y=d(Id)/d(Vgs) and x=Vgs. The slope of the lines m are with different constant values and the constant c too. Hence, the rate of change Id per unit change of Vgs is not the same.

thank you, the lectures are really helpful and perfect, one thing how do we say that the constants are the same at the end?
@nilliusinverba65173 жыл бұрын
As far as i understand, we are not actually saying that the final results imply the same thing. Since the question is asking the 'rate' we can say that the rates are same no matter what the constants are. It has been quite a while since you ask the question but I thought it might be useful for those who will watch the video recently :)

in the equation if we put -ve value of Vgs then Id is increasing its exactly opposite you explained in the mosfet working depletin region

GREAT VIDEOS BY YOU . THANKS VERY MUCH. But I have a doubt, how can the rates be same when constants are different.
@yallaskate7 жыл бұрын
the constants are given in the question, if theres a higher order term then the rate of change will change significantly

@Other comments: He didn't say all the constants are the same. He said that because they're all constants, the rates of change would be APPROXIMATELY the same. It's like saying y = 1.4x is similar to y = 1.5x
@satyamchauhan97754 жыл бұрын
but how ypu can say they are nearly same
@23sivenkat2 жыл бұрын
@@satyamchauhan9775 Put x=1 in both equation , we get y=1.4 from first equation and y=1.5 from second, which are nearly same values.

@@bruhbruh4137 Thank you for replying.You are saying if we put x=0 in both equations then y becomes zero in both which is fine.But to prove they are nearly same, i put x=1.
