@@rogersgatty3644 Several soviet spy movies are pretty good. "The "Omega" Variant" is very similar to this one. "The Dead Season" and "The Resident's Mistake" are probably the most noticeable.

1:36:27. Interesting aircraft, but clearly post-war. Looks like an Ilyushin Il-14. Can anybody confirm?

It's PZL MD-12, Polish four-engined short-range liner of 1961. Only 3 build. But close-up working engine is Li-2, I think (three blades, MD-12 has two-blade propellors).

@@pedrozurita2864 Thanks. Looks twin-engined from that angle, but knowing it´s four-engined you make out (just) the second, innermost propeller and engine exhaust. Appears to be a Polish version of the De Havilland Heron, and is way out of its time in an action supposed to be happening in 1942-43. Strange the producers did not ask for something more in line with the supposed era of the film: that aircraft REALLY looks like it´s from way after the war ....

@@javiergilvidal1558 Unfortunately, this was common practice in Soviet cinema, the creators did not have a Ju-52 or Pz.III. At least the cars in this movie are authentic (almost).

@@pedrozurita2864 They were supposed to be captured soviet planes with soviet insignia to drop spies over soviet territory. Although they used the same plane in pt.4 with german insignia. That was obviously to cut budget. Some few directors and big WW2 movie projects had some over the top funding, but this movies was not one of them. Anyway the planes to drop the infiltration teams were not supposed to be Ju-52. As for tanks they are as usual just some mockups to pose as PzKWs(and even some T-34 with german troops in closeups). The very obvious problem with all WW2 movies is though is using ahead of time tech no matter authentic or cardboard. Like Pz.IV during the Polenfeldzug in 1939. Or the constant emergence of T-34-85 way before 1944. The later period tech is just more easily available. Hard to find authentic Panzers for 1939 depiction.
