Originally named Retribution, American metalcore band Atreyu opted for their name change in tribute to the character from The Neverending Story, to avoid being confused with another band called Retribution, also hailing from Californian roots. With the formalities out of the way, Atreyu has gone on to release five studio albums since its formation in 1998. Experiencing a change in band members its most recent line-up, said to be on a hiatus, include Alex Varkatzas, Dan Jacobs, Travis Miguel, Marc McKnight and Brandon Saller.

its a performance like this that makes me question why the band had to disband just as soon as a become a major fan. Those days loving Lead Sails and Death Grip should've been spent seeing them live. If they ever come back, i dont care how much tickets cost--im so there!
