The date palm 🌴 has extremely interesting characteristics. Fronds growing at its top create a crown 👑. Some call the date palm 🌴 the tree of life. Talmud Sukkah 45b compares the date palm to the Jewish people. "Just as a date palm has only one heart as the branches do not grow from its trunk, but rather the trunk rises and branches emerge only at the top, so too, the Jewish people have only one heart directed to their Father in Heaven." Unity...the trunk grows slowly taking 3-8 years to begin bearing fruit. They are separate male and female trees. Bees and birds do not like them. Either the wind has to pollinate the female flowers or people pollinate them. Another symbol of unity is the distinctive pattern of development of the compound leaves of the palms. It is one of the unique features of this family and differs from all other flowering plants. In most plants with compound leaves, each pinna of the leaf develops from a separate meristem that grows independently from the rest of the leaf. In the palms, however, the compound nature of the leaves is derived from a single meristem that forms a plicated simple blade that then undergoes lateral cell degradation along the folds of the blade, leading to the formation of separate pinnae. Every part of the tree has a use: dates for food, sap for syrup, wood from the trunk, pits to germinate into new trees or ground up for animal feed...and more. Psalm 92 has a deeper meaning to me now. There's even more to think about. Once the fronds have completed their life, they are either cut off or fall off. No branches replace them. They become part of the trunk... the foundation of the tree while their children continue to reach up to the light, to Torah. ב"ה

Have you considered actually listening to this excellent teacher and learning something about the messiah you believe in? Do you think you are being a good witness? I’m sorry to tell you, you are not in my opinion. It’s rude. Did you even listen to this teaching? I don’t think so because there are many things stated that you could have thanked the teacher for sharing with you. I have never seen a Jew go on a Christian video simply to criticize the people and message but you think it’s ok. Like you’re doing Jesus a big favor. I don’t appreciate it at all.
