When we appealed, they realised it was an honest mistake not a fraudulent one and gave us two of the 4 points for that

@@lilbaz8073 there was no dishonesty,as evidenced in the statement from the appeal panel. They admitted they had made a mistake in law, when saying Everton were dishonest. And the fees we were charged for and appealed against, stating unforseen circumstances were for interest on the loan. Not the loan itself or it's purpose. The Premier league seemed to think that Everton should have foreseen Russia invading Ukraine, you know, the way everyone did, and should therefore not have been in business with Russian businessmen. Despite the Premier league having a very lucrative deal with Russian TV to televise their games in Russia, and taking cuts of the sponsorship by Gazprom. Funny that.
@McMonkeyful2 ай бұрын
Simon summed it up correctly in my opinion. The analogy of a house with a mortgage is a good one. For an investor, you have to weigh up that debt servicing vs the potential of the stadium to generate money, the TV money, potential player sales, the academy producing players who can replace those sales & become saleable assets themselves. I think the sticking point is Moshiri not wanting to accept a big loss on his investment. As Simon says, there is no crisis but the situation of Moshiri staying on is less than ideal & makes any progress difficult. With a good season under their belt & the move to Bramley Moor completed, they may well look like a better investment this time next year. It seems the finances will hold up until then, so no need to panic. Of course, to would be better to get a new, ambitious &, most importantly, competent owner in now to give the club direction, but it's nowhere near administration territory. The signings this window show that.
