Scout in 308? I've always been happy with Mossberg firearms. Just got in a Mossberg 590 Thunder Ranch shotgun to review. It will be AmbGun's first shotgun review.

Stop lifting your head off the stock when you run the bolt your groups will tighten up Love the gun 😁🇳🇱🏴‍☠️

I think if we were better at operating a bolt we could retain our cheekweld, but we found that getting the weight of our head off the stock prevented our sloppy manipulation of the bolt from causing the buttstock to get displaced from our shoulder. That was with two shooters, both semi-auto guys.

I appreciate the great job and production quality of your video. I dare you to practice not moving your head away from the scope and maintaining your cheek/chin weld. Additionally, learn how to cycle your bolt without doing those previously mentioned things. You'll become faster and more accurate. I dare you to make those changes.

@AmbGun Yes, like the guy with the bolt action rifle at the end of the video. Your performance and time will improve. You'll keep consistent points of contact, and you won't have to fiddle with your eyebox and re-aquiring your target.

If you're still looking for scout scope candidates, can you try the Hi-Lux LER2732BDC? It's what I have on my own Mossberg Scout. I really like it, but would like to hear your thoughts on how it performs and it's features. I went with the Hi-Lux over the Vortex because of the knob on the zoom ring and the BDC reticle. Hi-Lux also makes it with the duplex reticle.

I have this rifle in .308. I bought it a couple of months ago and haven’t fired it yet. Trying to decide on an optic. I think i will go with the Arken EP-8 LPVO or the Athon Talos 10x42. I can’t wait to get it in the range. Thanks for posting the video! BTW.. what computer speakers you have there? Looks nice!

Also consider the Leupold VX Freedom 1.5-4 Pig Plex reticle. That and the old, discontinued Weaver V3 are a couple of my favorite LPVO rifle scopes. Not illuminated, but very lightweight. kzbin.infoT8FkaXct568
