NOTE: This is the original recipe, I made less in this video since I was making waffles too. 😁👍
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds smoked sausage, chopped
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1 1/2 cups uncooked quick-cooking grits
2 (8-oz.) blocks sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 7 to 9 minutes or until cooked; drain on paper towels.
Bring salt and 4 1/2 cups water to a boil in a large Dutch oven over high heat. Whisk in grits, and return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened, whisking occasionally. Remove from heat; add cheese, stirring until completely melted. Stir in milk and next 3 ingredients. Stir in sausage. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased (with cooking spray) 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350° for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until golden and cooked through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Want you to know I never tried oatmeal in my life. Never liked the bite of oatmeal in oatmeal cookies. BUT, you make it look so good, so I tried it. I love me some garlic, but I don't know about at breakfast. However, I bet that grits casserole would make for an awesome side dish. 😉 Especially for all y'all who like beans. Eww, but I get that a lot of people really like beans so something like this would be a great side to a bowl of beans. Once again, I must say your cleverness of using these type of videos blows me away. Struggling with body image as I get older and as a teen/ late twenties I had an eating disorder refused to weigh anymore than 115 lbs..... Definitely after 3 kids and over 35 I weigh more and I want to lose weight and he's telling me to do it the fast way like I used to instead of the right way. It's definitely been a struggle.

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving from kid to present the Macy's thanksgiving Day parade! It's their 97th yr they going all out for this one. It's even going to be a extra 30mins like what? I'm super excited! My kids are grown and it's our tradition to watch it. I did it as a kid with my mom . I've always wanted to go in person to see it. We got some exciting things happening this weekend in our City. We got our big tree lighting & with Santa & food trucks. Then on Saturday morning we got our Christmas parade.
