Is Brunswick stew one of those things where everybody has their own recipe? Growing up visiting my grandparents in GA, they made huge batches of it but they used chicken and hogs head meat…it was tomato based with a lot of pepper and they made it thick to eat like pulled pork and plenty of pickles….i always thought that was the only way it was made…I really wish I had kept that recipe

I love how you try things and let us know. Those chicken Pattie’s are something I’d of never tried. I will now though! Plus, they are oven baked. I love Chikfila and eat there at least once a week. It can add up… plus it won’t tempt me to get the waffle fries (combo). Thanks for doing things like this. I bought those butter cookies from Aldi (and a whole lot more !). We love Brunswick stew. My Grandma recipe takes 2 days to make. The first day you cook at the meats(chicken, stew beef, and beef ribs) and the second day you shred the meat and add the vegetables and cook all day in a deep stock pot. It makes enough to last all winter so we put it in containers and freeze it. Just cook some cornbread to go with it and you have a wonderful meal. It is wonderful to take out of the freezer on a busy night when your tired and heat up. It taste just like grandmas house. ❤
