UnitCrane514 The railroad has many specialized machines. I am sure it took awhile to get this machine to work right.

This is the machine that will bank the curve for the track layout. Those are laser targets on the buggy.

Tax me I'm Canadian I saw the laser levels on the front. I also saw that they could work one side at a time. I didn't know they banked the curves.

mossman381 lifts the track, tamps ballast and sets the banked curve according to plan from the lasers.

Not sure what you mean by laser targets on buggy. Those are infra-red projectors on buggy which shine a beam of light to receivers on back of machine--two receivers for surface and one for lining. The buggy does appear to have a laser attachment but does not appear being used here as cover is still on control panel. This operator is doing a terrible job of operating this machine. Clamp frame is not set up properly---hooks do not need to be going all the way out, clamp hooks should be grabbing rail just below the head of rail. Why he is constantly moving the workheads all the way out, I do not know. This Mk IV Tamper should be indexing from tie to tie at a fast rate. Either the operator has not been properly trained or if he was he should be taken off of it. In his or her hands, it is a terrible demonstration of what this machine is capable of doing.

adjust your clamp frame limit switches or toggle them up ,amatuer

I'm a operator of a machine like this one,I do about two miles a day, he is crapping along with it

Maybe he was new and he got to go over and over 30' of rail until it was right.

Too bad the operator isn't paying attention to what he is doing. Missed raising most of the ties.
