Chris Conz is Swiss, by the way. As are Dave Ruosch and Nico Brina. Continuing the German theme, there's the great Axle Zwingenberger, Daniel Paterok, Silvan Zingg. And Chase Garrett from USA. My memory isn't cooperating, but Chris has videos from lots of German and Swiss players on his International Boogie Nights channel. Ah, how can I forget Frank Muschalle!

When Jorg Hegemann plays boogie woogie, his entire body plays the song. Feet stomping butt bouncing, the sweat is pouring from his head, every part of him is in motion. He doesn't need to go to a gym for exercise, he's getting a full body workout with every song he plays.

I've listened to this so many times now, it's so joyful, I love it. Jörg Hegemann is such a wonderful boogie woogie piano player & my favourite by far. He is unbelievable and I love that he dances while he plays. I think he is using the left hand to Swanee River Boogie too - amazing! :)

Dr K is an old man that plays boogie woogie as a hobby. Dr K is not even that good and he is not even groovy. He just bashes the piano and plays the same stuff again and again. Jorg is a professional. A passionate man playing the boogie the way Albert Ammons did. He is a true master of this music.

It’s improvised. The fundamentals are practiced, but every boogie woogie is different.

@@dasshorts7800 Exactly. He can not play it again. No point in learning notes he played. It's about cca 10 licks for right hand in 12 bar blues left hand that he use all the time in different order, intensity and versions. It is pure art how he made those licks (which are easy by themselves) into this beautiful play. It takes enormous effort and a lot of time to learn them play so smoothly. The greatness is not in complexity. It just looks complex. The greatness is in compiling simple stuff into complex structures. I am amazed. Especially because I try to learn boogie and I recognize almost all licks but still, it looks impossible to play it :)
