I hate that you have to explain why your kids exist to people in every other video. I understand others are curious but you shouldn’t have to justify your children’s lives, nor have their existence as human beings called into questioned simply because they have autism or special needs. It’s really frustrating that people keep asking. The were born, they are here and they are beautiful. Asking “why” they exist is offensive. All that matters is that they receive as much love and support as possible moving forward

The "Why did you have more kids if you knew they were going to be autistic?" question pisses me off. Your kids are perfect and your family wouldn't be the same without each and every one of them.
@raisingswayneys4 жыл бұрын
Well and she answered it, she didn’t know until later on that they had autism. She didn’t electively know from the start, that 1, she was the carrier for the 15/16 mutation and 2, that most of her kids would have autism. Even her being a carrier, theres still a chance that she can have healthy full functioning children. 🤷🏼♀️
@pacemarshall93584 жыл бұрын
This question also unnerves me, too, because the impact of the question is that people with autism shouldn't be born or don't have intrinsic worth. Even if she knew that her kids would have autism, that doesn't mean she shouldn't have had them. People with autism are wonderful people who are worthy of life.

If you don’t mind me asking, I’m sure that you have answered it previously, but when was your son diagnosed with ID? Like at what age? Also, my Older son, who is suspected of “High Functioning” Autism by his Therapists and Doctor, and he is by far suffering from much more severe meltdowns, emotional issues, and sensory issues at times as compared to his brother Diagnosed with level 3 Autism. And my Brother is Diagnosed with “High Functioning” Autism as well due to his verbal language abilities, communication, and IQ, but he still requires a decent amount of support and care to get through Daily life, and is not able to work a job without accommodations and supports in place, so it is never as cut and dry as people think. I had a friend that said “Your brother seems ok when I talked to him though, just a little odd, why do you have to take help him?” And I’m like, yeah, but if all you did was talk to him for a second, you have no clue how he can brush his own hair, remember to eat, how he makes decisions at home or in other environments, shopping, etc. there is so so much more to life than talking about simple things for a moment.

I know this might not be relevant to what your are saying but I just now realized how diverse the High Functioning side of autism is and it really shows that Autism is very much a spectrum. I’m classified as high functioning ASD but I guess it’s so “functioning” that no one can tell other than my parents. Only problem I have is slight emotional regulation control and sometimes abstract concepts. I also have sensory processing issues too. I’ve struggled with getting help at school for a long time due to how hard it is to tell because I do get stressed out by other kids and also have problems due to my Sensory Processing diagnosis. I’m also in this cool study with adolescents that are neurotypical and that are ASD which has helped me understand my diagnosis, my IQ, and ways to help other ASD friends🙂

I understand if this won't get approved, since it mentions vaccines but the MTHFR gene has absolutely nothing to do with vaccines. It simply means that your body can't convert folic acid to folate, which is important in pregnancy. Mom needs to take a folate supplement, as opposed to folic acid supplement, as folate is important for neural development of the baby.

The reason I don’t like Math U See for most kids is because it is way different than any other curriculum and makes it difficult to switch curriculums. My school used Math U See for my Algebra 1 course, and for Algebra 1 it wasn’t too big of a deal for that specific course, but use for multiple school years could cause issues if/when they have to switch. Most kids fall behind because of it. With Noah, I understand he has intellectual delay, so I think you made the right decision for him personally. I just hope he doesn’t have issues switching when he goes back to public school. There’s a chance that they’ll be able to use Math U See depending on what’s on his IEP though.

I will never understand how rude people can be. Why do people question a child’s existence just because they have special needs or come from a big family. The circumstances of someone’s birth does not change the value of their life. Of all the families to be born to, these kids have the best best parents as a support system. Also, why does everyone assume big families/families with children with autism are anti-vaxx? It’s so weird
